Today marks the start of longer and lighter evenings and as such we slowly enter wedding season. Our next wedding will see us at one of our favourite venues where we get to embrace Spring and all the wonderful flowers it offers.

Church full of flowers anyone?
Aisle meadows are by far one of the best arrangements when deciding on your wedding flowers. During the ceremony, they have a lot of impact visually and are captured in lots of your photos, then they can be easily transported to your reception venue and reused. Great for impact and budget. Ask your wedding florist for suggestions.

We loved creating this beautiful floral meadow for and George’s wedding cake last week. provided a showstopper 3 tiered cake finished in buttercream icing.

During last month’s heatwave we created this incredible floral hoop. It was the showstopper in the marquee but boy was it a headache to flower in the heat. Thankfully we are on a break at the moment and I couldn’t be more relieved given the temperatures predicted this week.

Slowly coming to the end of peony season but as one beautiful flower disappears, it will be replaced by the increasingly popular dahlia. We have added lots more varieties to the cutting garden this year, including the much anticipated ‘jowey Winnie’. Can’t wait! Bring on July and August.

Making an entrance…
The majority of our wedding couples this year have embraced the idea of a floral entrance at their ceremony, be it in a church or at a licensed venue.
They certainly create a talking point for family and friends when they arrive but more importantly allow a stunning backdrop for photos.
Yes they’re an investment piece but if captured creatively by your photographer, they can feature at many points during your day, be it when guests arrive, the bride and groom saying ‘I do’, group shots after the service etc

We’re right in the thick of peony season and wherever possible they are being featured in weddings. This variety is duchess de nemours and was used in wedding two weekends ago. This Friday will feature the l Sarah Bernhardt Peony (a pale pink variety).

Whilst we’re loving being so busy (two weddings most weeks) we aren’t able to respond as quickly as we’d like to emails or enquiries. If your wedding is within the next month this will be our priority but we will endeavour to reply to as many as possible asap.
