One of the first things to consider is their editing style. Photographers each have their own unique way of capturing a wedding day – whether it’s light & airy, dark & moody, fine art, or bright & colourful. It’s all about finding a style that resonates with you and captures the vibe you want for your wedding photos.

📷 Recommendations
A great way to find a photographer is through recommendations. Word of mouth from friends, family, or even online reviews can give you a solid idea of who’s right for you. But don’t stop at reviews – always check out full galleries of their past weddings, not just the highlight reel. This will give you a better sense of their consistency and how they capture the entire day, not just the best moments.

📷 Your Photographer's Approach
Think about what matters most to you in your photos. Do you love intimate couple photos, or are you more into candid snaps of your guests? Maybe you’re after those little personal details, like the flowers, cake, or décor you spent so much time picking out. Today is my last day in the office until I switch off for Christmas. I'll able to respond to emails and messages from the 27th, but please bear with me as I will be taking it slow and enjoying time with family. I'm officially back in the office on the 6th Jan.

I've really enjoyed creating more flat lays this year. I think they're so pretty. Just gather together a few bits and bobs ready for me to arrange when I arrive.

✨ MATT & ELLIE ✨

There's only one word to encapsulate Matt & Ellie's October wedding - actually two - UTTERLY EPIC!!

Ellie & Matt had the most beautiful ceremony at St Eval Church surrounded by a sea of 180 guests, which is one of the largest weddings I've had the honour of capturing. They then walked through a tunnel of ski's while being showered in confetti.

A clifftop marquee reception overlooking Boobys Bay awaited us all. It was filled with beautifully laid out tables and colourful florals. Scrumptious food was cooked up by friends, served by guests adorned in chef hats and aprons. Even Ellie herself got involved!

After speeches, Ellie & Matt had scheduled in a sea swim for which they were joined by a good portion of their brave guests! Everybody (except us photographers!) changed into their swimwear. We headed down to the beach after dark in the pouring Cornish rain and wind. Thankfully I bought my waterproof camera covers, video light and flash, which were our best friends while stumbling down to the beach from the marquee, as well as on the beach as we couldn't see a thing 😂

Everybody then warmed up with the most epic Ceilidh I have ever witnessed! The dancefloor was full up til the moment we left. And yes, we definitely found it hard to tear away!

Ellie & Matt were the most kind, fun and lovely couple. Thank you for choosing me to capture your unforgettable day!

🍂 AUTUMNAL FAMILY SESSION 🍂

I can't even remember the last time I took my cameras on an outing with my beautiful bunch! The last time was possibly when my youngest was a newborn and he's now 21 months! 🤯

So, let me introduce you to Olivia, Seth and Elias - the absolute apples of my eye! I love how these photos capture their individual personalities.

Elias - my sweet, cuddly puddle jumper 🍂

I actually didn't set my hopes too high on our trip to Tehidy Woods. As most parents have probably discovered, getting 'nice' photos of your own kids is mission impossible! It took a bit of chocolate bribery but I let them run wild, followed their lead and captured them doing what they love: exploring, climbing trees and rocks and splashing in muddy puddles! Plus I managed, with the bribery, to capture some more 'posey' ones of the three of them. These are some of my favourite photos of them all and I'm so glad I could capture our adventure, even with a little grump at times (can you spot him?! 😂)

I take bookings all year round for family sessions.
Sessions are £150 and include:

🌿 SAMMIE & JIM 🌿 Mount Pleasant Eco Park - Festival Vibes.

Oh how I struggled to narrow down the selection of photos to share of Sammie & Jim’s AMAZING June wedding day! To say that their day was emotional and unique is an understatement! From the cutest first look between Sammie and her gorgeous little boys, to the scrummiest vegan food cooked al fresco in front of all their guests, a beautifully rustic and incredibly romantic outdoor ceremony, bouquet toss, bride and groom toss, heartfelt speeches, outdoor games, softplay tipi, glitter tattoos, giant glow sticks, the best family atmosphere, not mention the glorious weather! And right on the doorstep of Porthtowan beach 🌊

✨ JESSIE & HOLLY ✨

These two beauties had the most perfect day at Knightor Winery back in September. I also saw so many familiar faces of lovely guests I've had the honour of being wedding photographer & videographer for, so Jessie & Holly's wedding felt like I was reuniting with family and I 100% got caught up in the emotion of their day 💛

We were totally blessed with this stunning afternoon & evening light 👌😍 and I think I got my first true golden hour of this year's wedding season 😂

✨ELLIE & MATT✨

Another gorgeous golden hour pre-wedding shoot on wild Porthtowan beach a couple of weeks ago. These two were just too cute 😍 The season has definitely taken a turn now. It was suddenly freezing and blustery on the beach but this just made for some super cute photos! I love flowy dresses especially when they float in the wind. It really adds movement, whimsy and romance to captured moments.

This time of year is perfect for your golden hour shoot as the sun sets earlier, it’s usually not too cold yet and you can be back in time for tea!
