Julia Kogut-Kalynyuk and Katya Trachuk -- two refugee musicians from Lviv who have been based in Oxford since May -- will be performing at the Holywell Music Room on Thursday 7th July. They’ve been playing concerts around the country including a sell-out concert in Somerville College chapel last month. They sing and play mainly Ukrainian folk songs -- but also some classical and jazz pieces as well as their own rendition of Ukraine’s successful Eurovision entry -- on the 65-stringed bandura.

50% of the ticket sales and all additional donations will go to charities that provide humanitarian support to refugees in Ukraine (the charities are listed in the link below):

Welcome To The Psychedelic Circus

Psychedelic Circus brings you trippy music, lights, poetry, film, art and more! We are based in Oxford, England, a group of people with a love of psychedelia who organise the Psychedelic Circus events. So far there have been 3 big Psychedelic Circus events, the last one was Psychedelic Saturnalia on Saturday 16th December 2017 and featured burlesque, discussion, art, poetry, food, music and lots more. Our music headliners were Glasgow’s Helicon who played their debut album in full for the first time.
