My story

Hi, I’m Clare – the Lion Learners presenter for East Anglia.

Joining Lion Learners has been a chance to get back to my roots and combine my love of animals with a passion for making education fun.

In the past, my work with animals has taken me around the world - from the mountains of South East Asia to the jungles of South America. I’ve helped tend to injured elephants in Northern Thailand, look after stray dogs in Chile, and build shelters for rescued trafficked animals in Ecuador. In the UK, I’ve been a Bird of Prey Handler and Demonstrator at Paradise Wildlife Park and worked with private zoos.

My educational background includes teaching children English as a foreign language in Thailand and Argentina, and tutoring GCSE Maths and English in the UK. I also help out at my daughter’s school when possible.
