We just wanted to say a huge thanks to all of you that have been in touch about Hull Comic Con this year. As some of you will already know, we have decided to rest our Hull event this year. Thank you for all for your continued support, and please do keep an eye on our socials for all future events.

RPG & TABLE TOP GAMERS – WE NEED YOU!
We are looking for collaborator for our busy Hull and Bridlington Comic Cons. Over the last 9 years we have had a large space with RPG, Traditional Board Games, Puzzles, Card Games and a happy group of enthusiasts to demonstrate, support and teach the families who attend our events how to play.
Having now retired from the con circuit, we need new game enthusiasts to join us. If you are an established group or if you want to form a new team, this would be completely your zone to manage as you wish and share your passion with a new generation.

Local comic book legend Gareth Sleightholme - Illustrator/Creative/ will be joining us at Bridlington Comic Con 2021 Gareth is part of the creative collective Iron Shod Ape and draws and writes comics (amongst other things), mostly about monsters and the people that hunt or are hunted by them. Gareth has recently worked on Spacewarp, a new comic from the creator of 2000 AD Patrick Mills

Great Gnews!
Dennis the Menace and Gnasher artist from the Beano, Nigel Parkinson will be joining us for Hull Comic Con 2023 . As well as Dennis and Gnasher, Nigel has also contributed to Minnie the Minx and The Bash Street Kids. You can also see Nigel’s work in projects with Harry Hill and the Kaiser Chiefs. Not only will Nigel be chatting and drawing for you, but he’s also going to be giving us a master class in drawing the Beano way! Nigel will be joined by Dennis colourist Nika Nartova

We’re in for some action-packed art work with comic artist, Bradley . Lee worked on a variety of comic book properties including Spider-man, Transformers, Transformers Animated, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Middle Eastern comic book The '99. Along with the Transformers How-to-Draw Guide.

Lee has worked on a vast array of sketch card projects ranging from iconic MARVEL Heroes, Zombie Projects through to popular characters from History. Lee has recently collected some of his work together in the book - Retro Kids Cartoons 1980s

as well as sketching and signing, Lee will also be hosting a workshop showing us how to draw some of the iconic retro characters he has worked on

Michael Troughton was a familiar face to TV viewers in the 1980’s and 90’s starring alongside George Cole and Dennis Waterman in Minder as DC Melish, the put upon cop forever trying to nick Arthur Daley for his dodgy deals. He also played the even more put upon MP, Sir Piers Fletcher Dervish who had the misfortune to share an office with Alan B’stard as played by Rik Mayall in The New Statesman.

In the 2014 Doctor Who Christmas Special, Last Christmas, Michael played the character of Professor Albert. He also stars as the Second Doctor in Big Finish Productions Doctor Who audios, a part he was born to play following in the footsteps of his father, Patrick Troughton who played the second Doctor on TV from 1966 to 1969. Michael, has also written a biography of his father as well as a photography book of Patrick’s roles on film and TV.

We are thrilled to be welcoming Michael to Hull Comic Con and can’t wait to talk to him about his career as well as hearing about his Dad.
