Moonshine Deliveries – Free in Swindon!

Due to the 2 damaging weekends of weather, we’ve got a surplus of O’Donnell Moonshine which we’d love to get in your hands ready for gifting and the festive period! You might have had a taster with us last week at the Highworth Light Switch on or other events around Swindon.

Check out the flavours we’ve got below:
Tough Nut (25% / 50 Proof): A caramel and hazelnut flavour, smooth and nutty taste. Similar to a Ferroro Rocher or Kinder Beuno taste. Perfect in hot creamy drinks like a milky coffee or hot coffee, can use it similar to how you’d use a Baileys. Absolutely delicious.

Roasted Apple (20% / 40 Proof): A sweet apple taste followed by a sweet marzipan flavour, similar to that of an Amaretto or Disaronno. Lovely with lemonades, ginger beers and tonic waters – anything which will easily take the flavour. Also lovely in your Christmas cake fruit mix!

Sticky Toffee (25% / 50 Proof): Just what it says on the tin, a chocolatey toffee taste. Most people drink on it’s own, super chilled or over ice but can be mixed with hot creamy drinks similar to the Tough Nut. Also lovely over deserts, on ice cream or mixed with a tiramisu!

Wild Berry (25% / 50 Proof): Slightly sharper than the other flavours, similar to a Chambord. You can mix it with prosecco, gin and tonics and lemonades. A summery taste and perfect to drop in your glasses on Christmas Morning.

High Proof (50% / 100 Proof): The original high proof spirit. Classed as a White Whiskey but not as we recognise a whiskey in modern terms. This spirit doesn’t go in a barrel so doesn’t get aged, oaked or smoked – in our opinion it’s more like a strong vodka but much much smoother. Brilliant for a special occasion drink or if you’re looking to make your own drinks, using this as a base for mixing with other flavours.

Winter Work Opportunity!
Hello everyone!

I’m looking for someone to come and work a small but busy café / coffee kiosk at a Christmas event this winter, a 15 minute drive from Cirencester. I’m looking for someone on the following dates:
• 23rd / 24th Nov (Approx 8.5 Hours / Day)
• 29th Nov (Approx 4 Hours)
• 30th Nov / 1st Dec (Approx 10 Hours / Day)
• 6th Dec (Approx 5 Hours)
• 7th / 8th Dec (Approx 12 Hours / Day)
• 13th Dec (Approx 5 Hours)
• 14th / 15th Dec (Approx 12 Hours / Day)
• 19th / 20th Dec (Approx 6 hours / Day)
• 21st / 22nd / 23rd Dec (Approx 12 Hours / Day)
• 24th Dec (Approx 8 Hours)

The ideal person would:
• Be available for all the dates above
• Have their own transport
• Have at least 2 years experience in a hospitality / café type setting
• Be comfortable lone working during the event
• Be a friendly-faced and smiley character
• Outgoing and confident
• Familiar with basic catering equipment (refilling coffee machines / fridges / warmers etc.)
• Have their food hygiene certificate

Hi

I'm looking for 2/3 x stall holders for an event in Swindon next Saturday 14th September. NO FOOD OR DRINK. The event is the Great West Fest, an internal hospital event held in the Town Gardens.

No pitch fee but you will be required to obtain a £37 street trading licence for the day.

We’ve been helping out Oakley the organiser of this week and just turned up to the site to do a weekend of circus skills and the site is looking great!

A nice photo of one of our smallest tents, Mini Chaaya! We’re doing circus skills next to The Wall Of Death (the red and yellow raised top in the background), come and say hi!

Well done to Oakley & Team - come and support the first Cotswold Fest this weekend!

Thanks for another great week at Wayside RIAT Fairford camping! I think it's safe to say...we run THE BEST RIAT CAMPSITE. Loads of room for campers, the best facilities, quality food & drink...to say the least. The reviews speak for themselves!

Morning happy Tuesday. This is a little plea from us to you, to remember the Highworth Highstreet. Many of the businesses have noticed a drop in trade over the last couple of weeks. Even the smallest of drops can make a big difference to an independent business.

By spending just £5 a week with a small business you can make the difference between sucess and failure. Your support really does mean the world to us. In return we put money back into the local economy by supporting other small local businesses. We provide jobs for the town and we make Highworth a lovely town to live in. So pop in and say hi, come and see what we have to offer.

🤩We're so proud of the work we've been doing at Wrdeup Music Festival this year, our first year taking the reins!

🙏Massive thanks to the Arts Council England for supporting our work and allowing us to extend the festival by a day to Sunday 7th July. Anyone with tickets to Friday OR Saturday get free admission to Sunday, or it's on a pay-what-you-feel model.
