A big thank you to Cumbria Wildlife Trust for the commission to produce another aerial virtual tour for them. This is the eleventh I have worked with them on, and it is definitely the biggest and the one that involved the most walking, across two days! It was also the first time I had climbed to Skiddaw summit, which was really fantastic! I hope you enjoy exploring the tour and it encourages you to go and visit in person. It is a remarkable place.

Calling all men in Barrow!!

You're very welcome to join a group of men in Barrow who have been using words to express stories / experiences with Matt Windle, Professional Boxer and former Birmingham Young Poet Laureate.

As well as the Forum theatre exhibition showing their writing on everyday objects such as beer mugs and t-shirts, many of you may have seen photos online of their fantastic poetry painted across the pitch at Barrow AFC.

Matt is holding his next session at The Derby Inn, Dalton Road on Monday 24th June from 5.30pm-7pm. You don't have to have joined previously, and you don't have to have any kind of skill or experience in writing before.

From Matt: “One of the things I’m a huge advocate and supporter of is to give men a platform and feel confident. Poetry can sometimes seem 'arty' and for the privileged - but I’m a completely ordinary person, and I’d like other ordinary men to know that the arts and culture can be for regular people."
