A huge thank you to the amazing artists and creatives who attended our 2-day ALL THE SCREEN’S A STAGE networking event and workshop this week! 🙌🌟

Especially our international partners Kopergietery Gent, and the wonderful support from Kerryn Wise and Joe Strickland. We got to see new work, and shared and celebrated the projects with each other.

We experimented with VR, AR, haptics and gaming software, and shared new methodologies around creating non-physical theatre. The make-a-thon thoroughly pushed our creative minds, and brought about some wild and wonderful ideas– from a VR scene of the French Revolution, to the game of life where the main characters were raccoons. Thank you for your imagination! ✨

We love performing ON a stage, ie WITH the audience all round us. At the fabulous Rode Hond Festival in Leuven with SURGE 360. Beautiful auditorium and gorgeous theatre, but here the audience get to be up close and personal with us, ON the stage itself.

Thankyou Frequency Festival for a brilliant gig last night. Fabulous audience, especially lovely that the artistic networking event held in LAC meant that we got chance to discuss the work with regional creatives. Tom and Jemima are checking out other festival events today, before we head off to Belgium tomorrow.

KOPERGIETERY and TOM DALE COMPANY are co-hosting a 2-day international networking and ideas development workshop at FABRIC which will focus on the making and distribution of digital and non-physical performance.

Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st November 2023

Nottingham

This workshop is open to artists and freelancers who work with digital artwork. We are open to hearing from people with all levels of experience. Everyone who feels this might enrich their practice is welcome to apply, including theatre and dance artists, digital technologists, directors, and producers.

The goal of the event will be to develop innovative guidelines that share views and interests on making durable immersive performing arts with a focus on digital, participation and e-inclusion.

This is free to attend, but we do have limited spaces.

Let’s talk about the music 🎧👇

One of our favourite topics; electronic music and experimental sounds fuel our passion for dance. In our SURGE & SUB:VERSION double bill, music plays one of the starring roles.

🌀 created an individual soundtrack for SURGE. His composition for the five-track concept album was developed in close collaboration with dancer and singer Jemima Brown and Tom Dale.

⚡️SUB:VERSION uses music from WEN’s album Ephem:era, resulting in a core celebration of dance itself, the body, and the limitless possibilities that music can evoke.
