I woke up on this grey and cold January morning and decided to run a competition!! Then I saw it was blue Monday so even more reason (not that I believe that)
I used to do one every year but it’s been a long time and I would like to share some love! This is for remaining 2025 dates and 2026

So, this is how it will work, one lucky winner will win £1000 off their styling & floral quote!! If you are picked we will do a consultation as normal, you will tell me everything you need and want and I will write it up but you will have £1000 taken off the final total Such a bonus!
*You have to want full styling & florals to enter and obviously love our work

Now the only way I can make it work with availability is for you to tell me your date and venue, I need to check on logistics firstly.
DM me your details and if I can’t do it I will let you know straight away so you can then carry on your supplier search, I can recommend lots of amazing people too!
If we can do your date you will be entered into the drawer, you will need to follow us and please share this post to your stories.
I am only going to run it for one week so don’t leave it too long! Plus If you enter and don’t win then I will still offer 10% off so you don’t miss out.

After 8 years I still get asked this and I get that if you are new to wedding planning you might not fully understand what a venue stylist does. I am slightly different in that I am also a florist so I really do cover all areas of prettiness!!
I’ve spoken to new couples this week and I always explain that by booking me, or anyone that does the same you are booking someone who ultimately has the overall vision of the day, whether that be with lots of input from the couple or very little, I will still be the one who pulls it all together, the seasonal flowers, the colours, props, tablescapes - napkins, fabric, placemats etc, signage, table stationery, ceremony styling and of course all the floral aspects that go with that. I have accumulated an awful lot of things over the years and those pieces are forever changing too.
My biggest consideration however is making your wedding personal to you, literally none of my weddings are created the same, I don’t just change up colours, I create everything from scratch & bespoke for you, it makes my life difficult!! But it makes your wedding yours, often including hand drawn or painted pieces that you get to keep.

Each wedding is made with love, beautiful high quality flowers and very often lots of hours! I wouldn’t have it any other way xx

2024!!! What a year… I wasn’t going to, but then I started and I couldn’t stop! Although it was so hard, I have a lot of pictures and we did a lot of weddings! This is a complete random selection but I love them all 🤍 please enjoy a scroll
An absolutey amazing year for The Vintage House That Could ~ a HUGE MASSIVE thank you to every single one of our couples and all of the venues that welcomed us old and new, it has been a riot of colour, incredible flowers, more drawing and illustrations than ever. A trip to France for my wedding, more hotel beds slept in than ever before and miles traveled.
Personally we took more holidays and time with friends, we found out we are going to be grandparents and did a bit more work in the house.
2025 weddings will kick off next month, followed by a new baby girl! And more holidays of course!
It’s an exciting year and I’m even more excited to share it with you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to follow my dreams for another year ###

I saw some gorgeous images from a wedding back in August from the lovely ~ I love this one of the fabric seating plan I made 🖤 I’ve been talking lots about seating plans this week to new couples so I thought I would share a few of the ones I’ve created recently. I will never EVER do a boring seating plan! It’s one of the things I get most excited about to make your day individual, it’s also a great way to have a bit of fun!

Tis the season of the Toffee Rose! But I also used them back in August at the beautiful along with lots of delicate seasonal blooms which went so well with the rustic space. After chatting to lots of new brides this week it’s been interesting to hear what colours people are going for next year and beyond, but remember there is always time to change your mind!

Happy Sunday! We are on a roadtrip to todays wedding and I’m swooning over this gallery from back in May at the gorgeous ~ this couple, these colours and flowers, especially those peonies are still ingrained in my heart as it was such a special day. It was our first visit to Iscoyd and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you for capturing it all so perfectly 🩷🩷🩷

One whole week since I was in London with these two gorgeous humans 🤍 after planning the most beautiful day from New Zealand and bringing it all together at the stunning followed by a fabulous after party
I loved absolutely every part of the flowers and the styling and I knew Greer would so appreciate the details too 🎀
Not to mention the fact that I got to work with my girl who made the day run seamlessly and we make such a great team!! Scroll through to the last pic to see just how in sync we are!!! And no it was not planned, I usually wear jeans!!
The whole list of suppliers was epic and of course the amazing ~ images 1-7 are from the sneak peek gallery; the rest are mine, I can’t wait to see the rest!! Just an absolute pleasure of a day and I wish we could do it all again ###

It’s me!! It doesn’t happen very often that I get a picture of me that I don’t hate and would you look at those flowers!! So I thought I would reintroduce myself after this busy summer….
My name is Katie and I am the proud owner of this beautiful business that I have cultivated over the last 8 years.
I used to be an art teacher/assistant head, I did my degree in illustration, hence why you see me doing all the drawing and signage ~ I love it! I decided at the age of 40 to take a chance on my business and give up my 17 year career and quite honestly I have never looked back. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is what I do!! I work with gorgeous flowers, get to be creative and pull weddings together and most importantly get to play a part in your most special day ever 🩷
Running a business isn’t easy, but the passion I have makes up for the boring bits!! And I now have my husband by my side every day, this business allowed that to happen!
I think I’m easily pleased! Other people say I’m fussy! I just like nice things and I don’t see the point in having things around me that I don’t love! I adore the summer and hate being cold, unless I’m under a blanket watching strictly or coronation street drinking a 🍷
I recently lost my parents so family is even more important now, we have 2 grown up kids and a new grandchild on the way!! 🩷🩵
I love working and I never really stop thinking about it or doing it, but it makes me happy and I literally can’t wait for all the weddings yet to come ~ if you got this far well done! I do love to chat too!

Our first visit to was one to remember for Chloe & Dan on the last day of August. The weather was beautiful! The views stunning and I loved the whole aesthetic of the day. It worked so well in the space. If you haven’t discovered Llantilio yet I can confirm it’s gorgeous throughout, wish I could have stayed for the pool party!!

Working with Chloe and helping her to bring her vision to life was just the best and seeing her face on the day even better!! 🤍🤍🤍

I’ve been keeping a little secret!
On Friday I flew out to France to flower and style Samantha & Tom’s wedding and OMG was it amazing!!!
Samantha came into my life 4 years ago and it feels like forever, the kindest & most beautiful person, I wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else on Saturday than making her wedding as beautiful as she is, Tom is equally as gorgeous!!
The chateaux was absolutely perfect, the flowers arrived from holland in perfect condition - phew! all of my props were driven over, I put all the stationery in my suitcase, the flowers withstood the 35 degree heat, the candles didn’t fair so well!! They were a bit droopy like me! The food all weekend was incredible!

Samantha has always worked so incredibly hard when we do weddings together as she does for her own couples and it was an honor and privilege to create for her & Tom on such a special day ###

10 YEARS since this beautiful day and so much has happened in our 28 years together, yeah it took him a while to pop down the aisle!!
We are currently in France enjoying a rainy day in the hot tub, eating bread and cheese! It’s been so sunny all week so I suppose can’t moan! But I probably will!
So grateful we got to share that day with all the people that we love whilst we had the chance, memories are everything 🩵🩵🩵

Happy sunny Saturday! I thought I would start a series of my fave venues, I know lots of people follow me that have just got engaged and I hope that over the next few days I can show you some of the loveliest places that I have worked and I continue to get excited about going back.
First up is because it’s quite simply stunning!! I have worked in so many venues but Elmore feels very different in lots of ways, the staff are all fabulous for one and it also has a great vibe, from the grand house and ballroom to the iconic Gillyflower. It ticks lots of boxes 💕 these images from last year really sum it up I think and obviously they have have been captured so perfectly by
Also with peony season coming to an end it’s also a great opportunity to see more of them in all their glory.

Ahhh what a day!!! Monday was an absolute joy ✨💞 I have been so excited to work at and it was better than I imagined, Lyndsey has been so amazing to work with and I will definitely miss our WhatsApp messages!! And to see their faces when they walked into the marquee, seeing all the ideas and beautiful flowers come together was priceless. Some of my favourite flowers and colours, again another thank you to for always supplying the gems 🌺
I love doing what I do so much but when it means so much to people it’s the best feeling in the world xx

Fridays colour palette was just 👌🏼 seeing all the flowers come together with the dusky pink of the bridesmaids which I mirrored on the fabrics and the signage was gorgeous. Plus adding in the black accents worked so well 🖤

I’m not sure how it happened but today I’m 48!! I know right, I’m shocked too!
Forever grateful for having such a wonderful family and group of friends around me and being in a position of doing something that I love every day. However it feels a little weird today, my first birthday without a card from my mum and dad 😞 but before she left us, mum put an album together for each of us from the millions of photos she took, and the other night I went through mine, there are some corkers!! But if you have a scroll you will see how much love there was and how cool my mum was, I clearly inherited that 😂
