There is something quite magical about a December wedding with Winter sunshine, in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Looking across the city skyline from the 5th-floor roof terrace of the very stylish Hope Street Hotel, it’s easy to spot so many iconic buildings in the glow of sparkly lights.

Kelsey & Sam’s wedding was such a great meeting of souls, with a day full of laughter and emotion, the chemistry between them was clear to see. With some quirky features like the ‘Shots Trolley’ wheeled out for their Wedding Breakfast entrance, followed by a ‘Merry Crisp-mas stand’ for peckish guests and the surprise Ukulele band for the party!

A Very Elegant Day!

St Philips Church is a stunning Grade II listed church, built in the Greek Revival style with huge stone pillars, an impressive bell tower with 4 clock faces and capped by a dome. It's easy to see why Lilla and James chose this elegant place of worship for their wedding ceremony.

City Chic Retreat

Bridal preparations started at the Uber chic and richly historic Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester City centre, in the Boardroom Suite. The grand rooms with elegant, contemporary furniture and so much space, must be the most stylish suite we have ever photographed in.

Lilla, her bridesmaids and the two mums all prepared for the day ahead in different rooms and then congregated in the huge former Boardroom where Lilla made her entrance as she added the finishing touches before leaving for the church.

An immaculate white Bentley took the ladies to the church, very much arriving in style, dodging the showers and Manchester traffic.

James had arrived early to greet their guests and waited patiently for his bride at the front of the church. Lilla looked stunning in her stylish dress and cathedral veil with a large bouquet of summer flowers, walking down the aisle on her own, smiling at James.

The Iconic Hall

After the ceremony and family photos in front of the entrance, the guests headed off to the drinks reception at the iconic Manchester Hall in the heart of the city for the celebrations to commence with a beautifully choreographed first dance, Lilla, James and their guests partied well into the evening with live band ‘Young Souls’ keeping everyone on their feet.

As soon as Bex and Zak started to plan their wedding, they wanted to get married at their home. When you meet their horses, chickens and dogs at their beautiful house, gardens and fields in the North Wales countryside, you can understand why.

The ceremony was held at the stunning St Asaph’s cathedral which dates back to the 13th Century, just down the road. The bridal party, with their 2 smartly dressed spaniels arrived on time and the ceremony was conducted by the vicar. The acoustics were amazing with the classical music chosen by the bride and groom produced such a beautiful sound.

After the ceremony and a few group photos outside, we all headed back to Bex & Zak’s extensive gardens with Miles the singer performing live music whilst the guests enjoyed the champagne, canapés and outdoor games.

The smells of the barbeque filled the air and the relaxed informal atmosphere continued into the evening with a live band, joined by Danielle, one of Bex’s bridesmaids to perform ‘Proud Mary’…amazing! Sparklers at sunset and dancing well into the night… what a fantastic and memorable day!

We had such a blast at Prestwold Hall near Loughborough. Such beautiful souls, Leonie and Arron. So much in love and what a fantastic venue to celebrate your wedding. The highlight of the day from our point of view was the incredible first dance, which provided great opportunities for photographs and film.
