Let’s take centrepieces for a minute folks!🌱
A lot of the time I think we generally see elaborate design’s, huge vases, trailing greenery, big flowers, grand scale…I think ya get my drift, right?

Big can be better for some BUT minimalist decor is just as beautiful & are really quite popular at the modern day wedding.
🌱
Of course, minimal doesn’t automatically mean subdued - better believe some of the most beautiful designs are those that create the most using the least!
🌱
Minimalist decor is also great for your more intimate wedding or even of you have another part of the reception that’s going to be the main attraction.
🌱
Monochrome colour palettes, arrangements with one flower/foliage or casual pieces with a rustic feel…Minimalistic decor is a thing guys!

It’s a Lisi kinda morning! Plenty of lisianthus for a bday bunch today.

I’ve had people often mistake them for roses which is understandable but Lisianthus can have quite a few blooms on a stem and they can actually have a longer vase life when compared to a rose! (if cared for correctly of course! 😉)

Also, Lisi comes in a good variety of colours too - red, blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, and even lime green shades!

Wild and Free! Just how we like it over here!

Finding the way I like to create bridal bouquets was always a tormenting one because when I started out in the game & being on social media always led me to feel as though I had to replicate what I was seeing & it was hard because it wasn’t me!!

Then I figured out my preferences, my style, my niche & then it all became soooo much easier to create from a place of contentment.

Lesson from this process is quite simple really: BE YOU & OWN IT! 🧡

Allow me to introduce myself…my name’s Cara & I’m the creator & owner of CarBloom Designs!

I realised that I hadn’t actually introduced myself to you lovely lot & it’s about time that I showed my face around here wouldn’t you agree?!
🌱
Flowers haven’t always been my thing but when I transitioned into this lovely world of floral art, best believe I was glad that I did it because it’s put me in a position to create a life that allows me to actually enjoy what I do & make me happy - my happiness is big thing for me!
🌱
I love flowers that are just allowed to flower if you get what I mean - let them do their thing, let them flop in the direction that they want to go & just let them be free because that’s their natural beauty. This is how I love to create my designs…you could call it kinda wild style!

When I’m not creating (notice how I didn’t say working 🤪), you can catch me being entertained by my 4 miniature versions of me & listening to the abundance of stories (if you have daughter’s then you will know exactly what I’m talking about!😅). A bit of Netflix, some chilled cocktail evenings with my amigas, picking back up on my reading & wait for it… (because it’s the one show that I’m truly dedicated to even whilst in the womb according to the Marge! Lol)

Hatbox Friday! Generally, we make bouquets in abundance so doing a Hatbox was a beautiful change…How divine is this beauty of a gift?!

Hatboxes are a great gift because once your flowers have lived, they can be removed & you have a lovely silky box that can be used to store any little gems that you may treasure.

Upon delivery, the recipient was in complete awe follow by “omg, how beautiful! Thank you so much!” Just the reaction we love seeing our designs bring big smiles to faces!

Being your own boss provides you with great satisfaction. Flexible working hours, making your own decisions, enhanced business networking, creative expression just to name a few.

Of course, I absolutely love the creative side & absolutely detest the paper work side! Lol. I think a lot of people look at the flowers & the aesthetics but don’t often know the stack of paperwork that sits waiting to be handled, the enquiries waiting to be responded to (those are a priority - I promise!), the constant need to be present on the socials, the deliveries, the heavy lifting, loading & unloading & of course the abundance of sweeping up! Lol

As much as wanting a long holiday with lots of cocktails, watching sunsets, abundant peaceful scenery & consistent amazing weather is at the forefront of the mind weekly…Being a Florist, I wouldn’t change it at all! 😊

Flowers for men I hear you say, what?! Well of course! More time, men love flowers just as much as the ladies because it’s so unexpected!

Over the last month or so, we’ve delivered a handful of bunches to some well loved men. Whether it was to say thank-you, I love you or congratulations…they all were received with huge smiles & laughter!
