Lovely weekend at KLH EVENTS charity fundraisers last week.
One thing irked me though.

We had some lovely customers, old and new, but sadly both myself and my sweet baker colleague were told on more than one occasion "that's too expensive"!

Just for reference, I'm with KLH again this weekend, 2 days, Saturday in Ossett Town Hall and Sunday in The Ridings Shopping Centre , all the goods on mine and the sweet baker's stalls are freshly prepared and baked, usually, by a sole trader.
We don't have staff, we don't have bulk buy power on ingredients, and more often than not, we've other commitments like life or jobs.
It's Wednesday and I've already done 8hrs prepping for the weekend.

When you're shopping at a craft fair, consider that we're subject to raw ingredients price rises as much as you are.
As I'm self employed, I had to pay for the food hygiene course and extra for the certificate.
Public Liability Insurance isn't cheap either.

Well, thanks once again to KLH EVENTS for a fantastically organised fair in a fantastic space in The Ridings Shopping Centre.
Also to the amazing customers we have.
It's so nice and heartwarming to have so many regular people who like what we do and come back to us month after month.

This is the menu for 14th & 15th of September for KLH EVENTS at Ossett Town Hall and The Ridings Shopping Centre .
The menu will be spread across the weekend with only classic Pork pie and the sausage rolls available at both events.
If you can only make it to one event, stick your order in now and I'll bring the correct pies to the right place.

Once again, due to no fault of my own, I'm looking for a kitchen.
So far this year I've lost one after 7½ years because someone decided that's what was gonna happen and now I've lost another because the company/charity is moving premises (no solid guarantee that I can use kitchen in new premises).

So......
Does anyone know of anywhere with a catering standard kitchen, be it in a community centre, school, cafe, shed, garage, outhouse, shop etc that I could hire for a full day on a Thursday and and hour on a Friday, once or twice a month.

I'm willing to negotiate making it mutually beneficial eg provide catering for you while I'm in.

All in preparation for KLH EVENTS & Pontefract Civic Society Pontefract Liquorice Festival this weekend.
The menu is being split across the weekend, there'll be different specials both days AND because of some football thing on Sunday, there's an exclusive, one off which will be "......so good so good so good..."
