Why I became a florist…

There’s a question, the one we all answer regularly with, “I’ve always loved flowers”, I have, that’s so true but I think a lot of people have always loved flowers, it doesn’t mean they want to work with them everyday.

I became a florist because flowers heal me, I became a florist so I could use my creativity to build a career, I became a florist because I love designing with flowers. And I chose this path of wedding floristry because I truly love working with you to help make your wedding dreams a reality.

Floristry for some may look from the outside like the most glamorous job in the world, but it’s all a ruse 😆

It’s dirty, it’s heavy, it’s working from heights, it’s long days spent in almost sub zero temperatures, it’s early mornings, it’s late nights, it’s being the web designer, the admin, the manager and the book keeper…

But it’s also, being one of the first to see your dress, the one who gets the privilege of visiting your venue with you, the one who is so excited for you I could sometimes burst, the one who sees you tear up just a little with emotion on your wedding morning, the one who will fix your bridesmaids hair, the one who will attach your buttonhole when you’re wondering which side to attach it.

The one who has the biggest honour, to play a small part in your huge day.

That’s why I became a florist.

Tomorrow I’ll be saying happy anniversary to this truly iconic pair, and today will mark one year since I delivered their flowers to that cosy cottage on Ambleside.

Chelsea & Mike…

What a joy it was working with this beautiful couple!

Chelsea & Mike planned their day to perfection, all the way from California 🤍
And I absolutely adored playing my small part in it!

Nestled away in the beautiful gardens of Casterton Grange they said their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their colour palette perfectly reflected that of late summer, and the love in the air was truly palpable.

A fairytale day for a fairytale couple that I will remember forever 🤍🤍

I can’t believe it’s been a year since your beautiful autumnal wedding day!

“As soon as we met Chelsea we just knew she was the perfect person for our wedding flowers. Honestly can’t recommend her highly enough - she is incredibly skilled at what she does and the loveliest person! She really took the time to understand what was important to us as a couple, how we could get the most out of our flowers and arrangements, and figuring out how it would all come together beautifully at our venue with the other suppliers. She even made sure we could add in a few specific flowers that were really special to us, which honestly meant the world and made the bouquets feel so personal as well as being absolutely gorgeous! We were completely blown away when we saw everything set up at the venue and had so many compliments from guests. Chelsea made sure the whole process was so enjoyable start to finish, and you can genuinely feel how excited she is about all her couples and their flowers!”
