Autumn feels like so long ago now, but I’ll never forget their beautiful day or how incredibly amazing they were!

Did you know, I will offer sneak peaks if you ask for them, much like your photographer does a day or two after your wedding, I’ll offer you a sneak peak the day before. It’s something I love to do but I will only do it if you call me, I’m not in the business of bugging my couples the day before their wedding!

Most couples want the surprise but to my delight Sam called on their journey to Townhead, I was in my studio and offered the sneak peak, and being me (who loves telling everyone what their gift is before their birthday arrives!) I was delighted when she said yes!

And even more delighted at her reaction 🤍

Intimate summer wedding days in the Walled garden 🤍

Not everyone wants a big wedding, and there’s no right or wrong perfect day.

You don’t even need to sacrifice any of the things you love, to make that day smaller. Because I’m a florist I think there’s this assumption we all want to make these super huge designs, and nothing else. I love a big installation as much as the next person and I’ll be heading to this very beautiful venue soon to make some.

But I luckily learnt very early in my floristry career, the magic isn’t in the things you have, it’s in the two of you.

Probably not selling my flowers here am I 🤣 stay with me!

Some of my truly amazing past couples have expressed feelings like the budget they have isn’t good enough, or some of the elements they’re including aren’t enough.

And I just want you to know, they are.

As long as your day is filled with meaning, with the people and details that feel right to you, it will be beautiful. It will be perfect in all the ways that truly matter 🤍

Heading back in time, sometimes during the quieter months, there’s not really anything new to share - which is my reason for not posting a lot!

But there are things I’ve never shared, and if Ailsa takes a photo, it’s always something I should share 🤍

I’m so grateful for these calm days but at the same time, I do get the feeling I’m missing out. It’s such a weird feeling, guilt for taking time out, missing my couples and flowers. And at the same time, joy because on these slow days I get more time with my family, I can catch up on emails and have the brain space to work on new things behind the scenes.

2025 is going to be the most beautiful year and I’m ready to get back to the crazy, wonderful, madness of it all! 3 more sleeps 🤍

Emily & Ollie…

These two radiate pure sunshine, and their wedding day was a perfect reflection of that—filled with happy, bright colours that matched their joyful energy.

If you love colour, I always encourage couples to lean into it—it adds so much personality and warmth to your day.

We arrived early to set up in the pouring rain, quietly wishing for the sun to make an appearance. And as you’ll see from the photos, it did just that, shining down beautifully on their celebration!

Let’s go 🤍

This morning my back to work is on, I’ll be responding to your new enquiries and I’ll be in touch with February and March couples to book in your final consultations!

I’m so excited to get started in my new office, it feels like the first day at a new job.

I’ll never be able to function between Christmas & New Year, I’ve spent most of this week in a relaxed sort of blur.

Settling into our new home, making Christmas dinner and having everyone over was a task in itself, I’m not too sure how we did it!

As we head closer to a new year the blur is slowly starting to lift, and I feel so very grateful and excited for those of you who have booked me as your wedding florist. And I’m still excited for those who haven’t. You’ll soon be able to say “we’re getting married this year” and that feeling is like nothing else!

You’ll all be planning away, adding those finishing touches, catching up with your suppliers. And I’ll be back with my hands on those flowers 🤗 - not that I’m ever very far away from a stem or two.

For those who haven’t chosen your 2025 or 2026 florist, January is the perfect time to book in your consultation. A slow paced month for me after a wild December!
