As promised, here are some photos of my granddaughter's naming day last week.
As part of the ceremony, Beth and Lewis made the promises to Beau as her parents, along with the Godparents.
The great-grandparents were also part of the ceremony by taking part in a candle lighting act.

I’ve had the most amazing day conducting my Granddaughters naming day followed by her first birthday party (yes, she’s now 1!!).
It was so good to also catch up with family and friends and my two Godsons, Jacob & Isaac!! More photos to follow 🥰

If I'd have known about celebrants 10 years ago, then I'd have definitely gone down that route for our wedding. Don't get me wrong, we had the most amazing day, where we were joined by our family and friends and the sun shone all day!
But, the ceremony could have been so much more ... even magical. With a registrar wedding, there are so many rules and restrictions:
• Firstly, you're restricted on where you can hold the ceremony.
• At the registry office, only one camera can be used, no flash, no photos of signing the register.
• You read legal, declaratory and contracting words to each other.
• There are limited readings which have no religious or spiritual content.
• The same with the music – only two songs – one on entry and one on exit.
• When the wedding ends, there's another one immediately after, so you're moved out of the room.
• And you probably won't meet the registrar before the day.

♡ Have your ceremony, wherever you like (your favourite hotel, restaurant, back garden, on the beach or even half way up a mountain!) - the choice is yours.
♡ Meet with me as many times as you like (even at the venue).
♡ Let me tell the story of how you met and I will build a ceremony that is personal, bespoke and unique to you.
♡ Write your own vows and promises (or I can help you).
♡ Play whatever music you want and when you want.
♡ Choose whatever readings you like, religious or not, and decide who is going to read them.
♡ Add a symbolic act and invite members of your family and friends to join in.
♡ Sing whatever you like.
♡ Have your pet as the ring bearer.
♡ Let your dad play his guitar or your best mate read a poem written for you both.
♡ Sign the certificate and have as many photographs taken as you wish.
