We are a key worker household but we are so thankful to the other key workers in our local area, without whom we would be struggling!

We left some messages on our bins for the bin collection team - who we have had to chase up the street a few times 🤣 just one of the local services who are keeping us going!

❤ We used chalk pens to leave our messages but this could easily be done by sticking a bit of paper over the top of the bin or chalking on the pavement 💛

We have been sent so many ideas we can't wait to share with you all in the coming weeks - we are all in this together! 🥰❤

Today we have a lovely recycling craft task using some milk cartons!

💜💚MILK CARTON ELEPHANTS💚💜

💛 Start by cutting your carton to give you a wee elephant shape 🐘 the handle is the trunk! ✂️

💚 Next up, cover the elephants in PVA glue mixed with a little water.. we used paint brushes for this job and used the bottom of our milk carton as a little glue tub 🖌

🧡 The only tissue paper we had was black 🖤 in an ideal world we would have had loads of different colours! Cover the whole elephant in tissue paper! (Our 10year old did this super neatly and took a great deal of time... Our 5year old took about 10 minutes and did the best she could! Each to their own, eh?)

💜 Then paint another layer of glue over the top to seal the tissue! 🖌 leave it to dry for a couple of hours!

💙 We finished our elephants by using chalk pens to decorate them! 🐘

If your craft supplies are dwindling, there are so many different ways this activity can be completed! Paint them, colour them in, make them a wee outfit and stick it on..

Here is an easy activity to do as a family! Depending on what you use will depend on how much help your little people need to complete this 🙌🏻

💜💚PERSONALISED DIY WANDS💚💜

Have you got any fans of magic in your house?

🔴 You can use your daily exercise to collect some sticks.. we usually go for elbow to finger tip sizing - but each witch or wizard will have their own preference 😏

🔵 Quick wipe down with anti bac after getting all the flaky bits off so they are ready to decorate!🧼

🔶️ Use anything you have lying around to decorate! Strips of paper/fabric, wool, thread, yarn, nail polish, paint, glitter, pipe cleaners, beads.. kids are really good at making things work - let them go for their life! 🎨🧶

🔷️ Now you are ready to cast some magic spells!

We are deeply saddened that our first wedding season is underway during these unprecedented times.

We are sending lots of love to the brides and grooms to be, who have had to slide their big day to a safer date 💞

Take a tip from for Christmas 🎄🎁🎅🏻 ever feel like the wish list is neverending?

We use these lists every year to help our girls think really carefully about what they want from Santa! This year we have amended them to include the gift of time - time to spend together as a family 🥰👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 they are super lucky because Santa always makes sure they get everything on their list and usually a few extra are thrown in!
