I have been so excited to use this plinth and was absolutely blown away with the quality when I started building it! Plinth frames are very hit and miss as they can be very wobbly and wonky when put together. But not this one! I can’t wait to use it again in another design 🙌🏼 thank you so much @thepropcentre 🫶🏼🫶🏼

I felt so much pressure when creating this set up after the response from Sam’s gender reveal set up, but the relief I felt as soon as Sam walked in and said she loved it was amazing !As a balloon artist there is nothing better than seeing the reaction when you guys see your set up for the first time! It makes it all so worth it 🤍

1. You DON’T have to be a “YES WOMAN” forever! ❌
Of course when you’re first starting out as a balloon artist you want to say yes to everything. But don’t feel that you have to ! I have only recently realised this and within the past year I have cut out parts of the business I am not passionate about to focus on the parts that get me excited and that I enjoy doing!
2. Not every enquiry will turn into a sale 💰
In the first year of Jazz It Up I would be so disheartened when I would spend hours messaging back and forth with customers to get ghosted 👻 Unfortunately being ghosted is just part of the job. Although very frustrating… you get used to it and it’s absolutely not a reflection on you and your business. You will find your loyal returning customers and when you see a message pop up from them, the excitement outweighs the disappointment of someone else ghosting you !
3. Other balloonies in the industry are not your competition, they are your cheerleaders and vice versa! 👯♀️
God I wish I knew this earlier because I was also so afraid of asking anyone for any advice or help. I’m not too sure what I was afraid of but I absolutely could not live without my balloon besties anymore! The industry is so helpful and positive and it was such a huge relief when I realised this!
4. I really really wish I’d invested in training🎈…
…from someone experienced in the industry, as this would have made my business (& life 😂) run sooo much smoother!
It’s took me many hours of trail and error and many tears 🥲 to get to where I am now! I have always had an open mind when it comes to balloons which has allowed me to not be afraid to change my technique over time. This is why I am now confident that I am going to create a professional, wow factor looking display EVERY 👏🏼 DAMN 👏🏼TIME 👏🏼 without feeling worried or unprepared! Purely because I believe I have found the best techniques that have not failed me ever !
