JUST REFLECTING on some things i have seen this week if you can be bothered to read it π π€£
1 the large pick n mix shops
2 the advertising of workington town centre and mentioning all the big named shops
WE PERSONALLY cannot compete with the big shops
I've recently seen workington town centre on Facebook video mentioning Tk max all the big shops
So I decided to mention our wed sat market too in the comments
but
Why are we being left out
Maybe they should come along and promote the Market talk to the hard working traders and the independent small business owners , who own cafes , and small businesses
Or do a video on market days
Understandably filling the shops are important generates employment and brings people in to the town and also helps us traders when the footfall is better
But these shops get big advertisements , mentions
While the small traditional sweet shops businesses are folding the amount of people I get on my stall saying you can't find anything like what your doing now it looks like a traditional sweet shop but a market stall
And that will always be our aim to eventually build our stall and our stock choice
Pick n mix Saga π
I've only had 2 people ask why they can't serve them selves
I then explain the reason behind why we dont and they totally get it π
The same scoops are used with these pick n mixes in these big stores
Someone sticking their hands in I saw on 1 video on line , coughing , someone actually spitting in the sweets , I was horrified , and not only that something being purposely poured from a container staffs eyes can't be everywhere
this wasn't at any local store , this was in America and another in London BUT it can happen anywhere , Now you will see the reason
CUMBRIA CARNIVAL CANDY Cumbria Carnival Retro Games
Will never have open pick n mix
Even our Giant Candy cables are covered they will never be open for people to help them selves
You Pick we mix
NO BUGS ON US , No risk of unpleasant happenings
We will be back at the wonderful local workington market Wed and sat weather permitting
And the Glebe Market Sunday
Serving our regular and new customers
