This Remembrance Day, I'd like to honour all those who served in the First World War, and in conflicts since then that have protected us.

A question I am asked regularly about funeral ceremonies is "How can you talk about someone's life when you have never met them?"

First of all, I meet with the bereaved family, and spend time getting to know them, their relationship with their loved one, and what kind of ceremony they want. Then I go away and craft a ceremony that reflects their life, their values, and their relationships with others.

It's not always easy, especially when there is so much love for a person in one room, but it is truly an honour to learn about people's lives and help their loved ones reminisce in such a beautiful way.

Happy Global Champagne Day! 🥂

As you'll probably know, popping champagne and toasting to the newly married couple is an age-old tradition - and a very popular one! But why?

Typically, popping the champagne symbolises a fresh start for the two families being joined, while the tradition of drinking this luxurious fizz goes back to the 18th century, where it symbolised a high status!

And of course, the bubbles themselves get everyone feeling merry and joyful - perfect for celebrating a new marriage! 🍾

I am beyond excited about this as I just LOVE to bake!!

EXCITING NEWS……

A couple of years ago I ran some cake classes at my studio- it was great fun and lovely to give other people confidence when making cakes….

I put some stories up yesterday and the response has been amazing- thank you all so much ❤️

I was going to do classes on the following-

-ganaching
- fondant icing
-sugar flowers

I would love any suggestions of things you would enjoy having a go at and if we can organise it- I’m up for it….

Classes will be about half a day but in between school times, in my studio, will be 1:1 and there’s no pressure- let’s just have some fun!

I am running them between December and January so perfect as a Christmas gift….

Best of all- I’m running these at £99 each- just bring you and I will sort out the rest…
