I’ve needed to take some time away from the business this Summer, so apologies if you’ve not had a reply to your enquiry.
I am back open now and hoping to start offering afternoon tea delivery at weekends again for groups.
I’ve also got myself all set up to be able to offer a stall at events, so if you know of any local fayres, markets or car boot sales etc who need a new cakes and bakes stall, then please let me know 🥰
Bake Shed will be stocked tomorrow from 9am.

👋Hello! It’s been a while since I gave an update/introduced myself so I thought now was a good time.
I’m Laura- I live in Wymondham with my partner and three wonderful children (3 year old twins and 18 month old boy), plus our dog Dotty and cat, Dave.
I started doing afternoon tea delivery in 2018 but when lockdown happened in March 2020, the business went a bit crazy and my orders basically quadrupled overnight! It was an absolutely mad year, for all sorts of reasons but it meant that by the time my girls came along (we adopted them when they were 12 months old) I had a really solid business foundation and a wonderful group of customers so I could close the business and revisit it once they were settled.
Plans changed a bit when I fell pregnant and our little boy came along, so effectively I was on maternity leave for 2 years straight 🙈
I’m now working sporadically, doing occasional group bookings, catering for holiday cottages and special events plus stocking my Bake Shed on an honesty box basis.
I am trying to do the Bake Shed once a week, on a Friday, but I’m still navigating working around the children, their childcare and life in general.
I’ve not been in the best health the last year and so I’ve been pretty rubbish replying to messages!
My aim for the next couple of months is to get back into work more regularly, keep the Bake Shed going and expand back into catering and afternoon teas again.

About us

Based in Wymondham, Norfolk, Laura’s Afternoon Tea delivers delicious, home-made afternoon tea straight to your home, business or event. Catering to small groups and large parties with options for children and those with dietary requirements, everyone is catered for.

Perfect for hen-dos, baby-showers, weddings, birthdays or just a catch up with family and friends, we provide everything you will need including crockery, cutlery, napkins and sugar so all you have to do is boil the kettle and get the milk out of the fridge!

Included in the price (£14.50 for adults) is three finger sandwiches, a sausage roll, plain scone with clotted cream and jam and two sweet treats or cakes as well as a selection of teas. My menu changes every three months so please take a look at the website (www.laurasafternoontea.co.uk) for the latest update or pop me a message.

We also cater for children and children’s parties (£7 per person). Served on small wooden picnic benches, including sandwiches, crisps, fruit and veg, chocolate brownies, sweets and drinks.
