Something very special from Joshua Burnell 😍

I’m so proud of this one. I’ve long been in love with the music of the early 70s and have always wanted to try and make something that sounds as if it is from that world. It has taken heaps of research, years of learning, lots of trial and error, and loads of fun. It was epic having in the studio for a duelling electric guitar / Hammond solo and added a killer bass line.

The vinyl really is something special and to hold it in my hands is just magic. Some lucky people will get to own it too - it’s on my website and I hope you get one before they’re all gone x

But also no pressure either, there are some absolute BEASTS ln this longlist (inc Radiohead hahahah how am I meant to compete with them) so really it is a huge honour in itself to be included among them wow🖤 performing live is my fave part of being a musician and I’ve been working my arse off touring as much as I possibly can for the last few years and putting everything into it, so this was such a nice surprise to receive today. thank you Association of Independent Music for the “best live performer” nomination x

7th FEBRUARY 2027 - AMELIA COBURN RETURNS TO HUTTON RUDBY ❤️

Amelia Coburn last visited Hutton Rudby in March 2024 - and had the audience mesmerised with her stunning voice, singing her beautiful self-penned songs, many taken from her debut album ‘Between the Moon and the Milkman’.

Since that visit her rise has been spectacular – with national radio play across BBC Radios 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, featuring on Paul Weller’s latest album ‘Find El Dorado’ and supporting the likes of The Levellers, Rianne Downey, Hamish Hawk, Stornoway, Rumer and Katherine Priddy on tour.

We could not be more delighted to have be welcoming Amelia back to the village as part of her latest solo tour.

Hutton Rudby Arts presents live professional theatre in a one man show ‘Twice Nightly’ on Thursday 4th June, 8pm in Hutton Rudby Village Hall.

Join us to witness the imagined life of a second spot variety comedian 'Freddie Francis' in 1956. It is by turns funny, serious, and with some pathos, as he contemplates the end of his career.
