Wedding florals for C+J, in the breathtaking light of The National Trust of Guernsey Les Caches Farm 😍
Always, always, proud to be, totally floral foam free 🥰
For those wondering what the cucumbers are about, they sit at the base of this floral display, that's right, it has a heart of nothing but cuc 🥒
Floral foam is an environmental horror. It's toxic, non-biodegradable and non-recyclable, disintegrating into millions of microplastics and nasties 😫
Cucumbers on the other hand 👌

A truly terrible video, but sound up 🔊 for the first excited predatory insect gush of the season 🤩
#FlowerFarmerama - Specialisms.
We specialise in something far more significant than one particular type of flower, we specialise in seasonality 🌱
Our bouquets and bunches evolve with the seasons, showcasing the texture, form, and colour that each season provides. A total celebration of the wonder that is the ever turning wheel of the year!
As a small (tiny) scale flower farmer florist, we grow a riotous mix of colours and textures to provide the treasure trove of natural beauties that come as part and parcel of our bouquets and bunches, it's just one of the ways that we promote sustainable growing!
There's really no need to force flowers to bloom at times of the year they wouldn't naturally do so. Embrace the changing of seasons and all it represents, we promise you won't be disappointed 😉
A quick little reel to share the seasonal evolution of our blooms last year
2022.
Not quite sure how to summarise you 😅
This was our first season flowering weddings and we LOVED IT. What turned into the intention to flower one wedding, quickly turned into seven 😅.
We won the @icci_community conservation awards 🤯 🎉
We grew more than we ever have before, and took on some growing space under glass too.
On the flip side.....
We battled endless heat and drought, and worked into the night,
every.single.night
Balancing it all with our day jobs and toddler boss. It was a real, fly by the seat of your pants summer, and we have essentially been in hiding since our fresh season ended at the end of Oct..... Sorry about that 😉
It was a year of YES, a year of wishing for rain, a year where we have felt such support from our island community 🥰
So to conclude, a huge THANK YOU, to all of you, whether you were our first bride, or repeat liker of our posts, thank you ❤️
We don't do blue Mondays here 🐝
Happy hump day 🥳
Sunshiney flowers for a sunshiney week ☀️
This is the earliest you've been able to buy fresh blooms from us so far 🙌 and although our supply is quite limited at the mo, we're no less excited by it! And the possibility for improvements next year too 🥳
We got into this flower farming lark a little by accident. A series of events led us here 🍃 a wedding, land purchase, a drive to promote a sustainable change in our culture and a husband who wasn't keen on expanding the animal menagerie 😆
As time goes by the reasons we continue become clearer and clearer, it's for this little bit of magic and all it represents, all the tiny beautiful creatures that keep our world alive. 🐞
They need every bit of help they can get, so go on, make some sustainable switches for the better and help the world out ❤️
Our first reel! Excuse the shoddiness, we are as usual up against the clock 😅
Jobs for today.....
- cut and top up the hedge box ✔️
- weed
- sow
- harvest seeds
- order compost
- dead head
- everything else 😖
Hoping your Sunday is more relaxing than ours 😉
Although we usually save our grid for the pretty stuff, and share the grit and grime in our stories, we also think it's important to banish the pretences..... This isn't insta Vs reality, on this occasion it's insta meets reality ❤️
Here we are, 7am on a Sunday morn, planting out dahlia batch two, your lucky I chose to set this to 32x reality or this video would have gone on a little longer 😉 I do have a tendency to get pretty distracted by any insects I come across, it would be rude not too right!? Here you'll catch a glimpse of me hollering the boss and the other half over to revel in the alien beauty of a grub I had just unearthed.
Yes, behind the scenes is mostly made up of grit, determination, and a sprinkling of panic, but in all honesty, the dirt is at least half the fun of flower farming for us! 🌻
Happy World Bee day all! Our pollinator patch is starting to bloom, as are our farm flowers 🥰 providing plenty of food for the wonderful bees 🐝
Do you have any plans for pollinator patches or window boxes this year?
