When I worked with Asempa publishers, I had to attend a 5 day book fair in another African country. And of course most of the books I went along with, were Christian books. At the fair, another publisher, a German based in Togo, came over to my stall and when he saw my Christian books, he laughed at me. He said "do people still believe in these things?" He laughed at me for believing in Christ, for being a Christian and for selling Christian books. On the 2nd day he didn't even bother to talk to me. We didn't see him on the 3rd day. On the 4th day when he came, I asked him why we missed him the previous day and he said before they set up their publishing house in Togo they came to a shrine in this country, so every year, they return for thanksgiving. Hence his absence at the fair the previous day. And I asked him, you , a German, travel all the way to a shrine in Africa and return there annually and you dare laugh at me for believing in God?
Sometimes those who laugh at you for your faith in God, usually have faith in other things. Don't apologise for your faith in God just as they don't apologise for theirs. Hold fast to your faith, wear it on your sleeves and take your faith to the marketplace.
