M.P DESCRIBED ROAD MINISTER AS DESCEPTIVE FOR SAYING 90% OF KATAMANSO APOLONIA ROAD CONSTRUCTED.

Member of Parliament for Kpone Katamanso constituency of the Greater Accra region has described the Minister for roads and Highways as deceptive for saying that the Katamanso - Apolonia road is 90% constructed.
According to Honourable Joseph Akwerteh Tetteh, his engagement with the Minister for roads and Highways,Honourable Amoako Atta said at parliament that the said road was 90% completed when in actual fact no work on the said roads has commenced yet.
Speaking to Trendsnews at Apolonia during a health walk as part of the "GOMEY festival during the yulitide, Honourable Joseph Akwerteh Tetteh further urged the road minister to pay a visit to the road in question to ascertain weather work has comernced.
The health walk which took the youths and people of Apolonia from Zenu Lorry station to Apolonia on a float/walk was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for the Kpone Katamanso constituency, Honourable Joseph Akwerteh Tetteh,and other notable members of the Apolonia community.
Former Assembly man for Apolonia, Timothy Mensah Tetteh explaining the origin of"GOME festival noted that the festival was a medium to bring unity among the people where men are dressed like women and vice versa as they danced together in hags despite the fact that that they are married to show their unity for Development.
The occasion was also marked with games including football gala'snooker games,playing of cards,motor bike racing among other things during the Christmas festivities.
Some of the youths who spoke to Trendsnews urged the youths and people of Apolonia to pull in their commitment to ensure the annual celebration becomes sustainable.

Pupils writing the 2023 Basic Examination Certificate Examination(BECE) within the Kpone Katamanso District of the Greater Accra Region are confident that if the remaining seven papers go the same way as the Religious and Moral Education(RME) and English Language, then great success will smile on them.
Some of the pupils revealed questions that came in their examination were those they had solved before making it easy to solve.
In view of that, they were confident that they will succeed if the remaining questions continue to be comprehensible.
According to the pupils, their tutors have prepared them enough to withstand the selection of questions seen on their papers in the first two papers written so far.
At the Tsuibleo cluster of schools which is within the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) municipality,the pupils expressed high level of confidence after exiting the examination halls.
So far,the issue of examination malpractice did not come up.
It is hopeful that this year's examination will set the tone for a new paradigm in the educational sector.
