We provide a day-of wedding coordinator for a Fee. Nowadays, with wedding blogs and DIY books readily available, more and more couples are opting to plan their own wedding. While this is an ideal way to make sure that you keep true to your own vision, one thing's for sure -- you cannot coordinate your own wedding day. With one of our capable day-of coordinators watching over the details of your big day, you can enjoy all the special moments with your family and friends without stressing. This also means that your bridal party and family can enjoy the day too! Not only do you want to relax on your wedding day; those closest to you should as well. Entrust your special day to a wedding professional with the experience and flexibility to handle any last-minute changes that may come up, so you can enjoy your celebration. Day-of coordinator services include the following:

* Meet with the bride and groom about one month prior to the date of the wedding -- We will go over everything from the rehearsal party all the way to your last guest leaving. We will ask for a list of and discuss all vendors that you have secured for your big day.

* We will contact all of your vendors and touch base with them, letting them know that as we get closer to your wedding day, GracePlate Services will be assisting in making sure your wedding day is executed perfectly.

* Two weeks prior to your wedding, our coordinator will meet again with the bride and groom to once again go over every detail and talk about any changes that have been or will need to be made. GracePlate Services has a catering menu for 2015 found on www.facebook.com/GracePlateServices.

* GracePlate Services will coordinate a walk-thru with our caterer and the venue to go over the details of the wedding day and make sure everyone is on the same page.

* The wedding coordinator will create a timeline and distribute it to all vendors involved and make sure that everyone is aware of all time issues.

* Within the week of your wedding, we will once again hold a meeting with the bride and groom to go over the final details of your big day one last time.

* Your coordinator will attend your wedding rehearsal and work with the bride and groom to assure a perfect ceremony.

* Your coordinator will be available and ready to go at the venue of your ceremony on the day of the wedding and then follow and ensure that all guests make it to the reception venue if it is a different venue than the ceremony.

* Your coordinator will ensure that all the details of your reception take place as smoothly as possible. We are there to make sure that everything you planned goes over perfectly and handle anything that may come up during your event.

* Your coordinator will then make sure that everything is cleaned up, and all vendors are respectful of their items after the last guests leave. If you're looking for someone to take the lead and assist with full planning and booking of your wedding, we do that as well. Please call us to discuss the entire planning of your wedding.

Vegetables, fruits, and disease

* Cardiovascular disease
There is compelling evidence that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can lower the risk of heart disease and stroke.

* Cancer
Numerous early studies revealed what appeared to be a strong link between eating fruits and vegetables and protection against cancer. Unlike case-control studies, cohort studies, which follow large groups of initially healthy individuals for years, generally provide more reliable information than case-control studies because they don’t rely on information from the past. And, in general, data from cohort studies have not consistently shown that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables prevents cancer.

* Gastrointestinal health
Fruits and vegetables contain indigestible fiber, which absorbs water and expands as it passes through the digestive system. This can calm symptoms of an irritable bowel and, by triggering regular bowel movements, can relieve or prevent constipation. The bulking and softening action of insoluble fiber also decreases pressure inside the intestinal tract and may help prevent diverticulosis.

* Vision
Eating fruits and vegetables can also keep your eyes healthy, and may help prevent two common aging-related eye diseases—cataracts and macular degeneration—which afflict millions of Americans over age 65. Lutein and zeaxanthin, in particular, seem to reduce risk of cataracts.

* Weight
Berries, apples, pears, soy, and cauliflower were associated with weight loss while starchier vegetables like potatoes, corn, and peas were linked with weight gain.

TIPS TO EAT MORE VEGETABLES AND FRUITS EACH DAY

1. Keep fruit where you can see it.

Place several ready-to-eat washed whole fruits in a bowl or store chopped colorful fruits in a glass bowl in the refrigerator to tempt a sweet tooth.

2. Explore the produce aisle and choose something new.

Variety and color are key to a healthy diet. On most days, try to get at least one serving from each of the following categories: dark green leafy vegetables; yellow or orange fruits and vegetables; red fruits and vegetables; legumes (beans) and peas; and citrus fruits.

3. Skip the potatoes.

Choose other vegetables that are packed with different nutrients and more slowly digested carbohydrates.

4. Make it a meal.

Try cooking new recipes that include more vegetables. Salads, soups, and stir-fries are just a few ideas for increasing the number of tasty vegetables in your meals.

VEGETABLES & FRUITS

* Vegetables and fruits are an important part of a healthy diet, and variety is as important as quantity.
* No single fruit or vegetable provides all of the nutrients you need to be healthy. Eat plenty every day.

A diet rich in vegetables and fruits can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, prevent some types of cancer, lower risk of eye and digestive problems, and have a positive effect upon blood sugar, which can help keep appetite in check. Eating non-starchy vegetables and fruits like apples, pears, and green leafy vegetables may even promote weight loss. Their low glycemic loads prevent blood sugar spikes that can increase hunger.

At least nine different families of fruits and vegetables exist, each with potentially hundreds of different plant compounds that are beneficial to health. Eat a variety of types and colors of produce in order to give your body the mix of nutrients it needs. This not only ensures a greater diversity of beneficial plant chemicals but also creates eye-appealing meals.
