MEET YOUR JUDGE FOR

Dr. Catherine Doe Adodoadji-Dogbe is a Programme Analyst with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ghana Office. Her work within the Environment and Climate Change portfolio encompasses climate action, natural resources management as well as waste, and the circular economy. She is passionate about youth empowerment and engages actively with the youth in her line of work. She is also part of a team working to integrate a youth-centric approach to drive the implementation of UNDP programme areas.

MEET YOUR JUDGE FOR

Melody Esiawonam Boateng obtained her BSc degree in Zoology from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2004 and in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in New Haven, CT, USA in 2007.

Melody joined UNESCO in 2009, through the Young Professionals Programme and worked with the Division of Ecological and Earth Sciences at the Organization’s Headquarters in Paris. In June 2016, she moved to the UNESCO Accra Office to take up a new role as the National Professional Officer for the Natural Sciences Sector.
Melody works on issues related to biodiversity conservation, poverty reduction, and sustainable development. She is an expert in designing innovative approaches to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development that involve diverse stakeholders, including local communities. She is a Chartered Environmentalist and a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, UK.

Before joining UNESCO, she worked in the Climate Change Unit of the Forestry Commission of Ghana, from 2008 to 2009.
