Last year we applied for the first time heart circles during our first residencies, and the effect of their presence was so profound that we just can’t go back anymore. ✨

Paleohori is not just a hosting space. It’s a field of exploration of togetherness, of meltingness through the other, in order for one to enhance profound transformations. Every year we get to understand a bit more about the unpredictable nature of human dynamics and feel no more than humble as hosts to all that unfolds. Heart circles helped us to see the other beyond the rational, the image, and its projections, by engaging in deep active listening and articulating emotions.

We saw people growing from individuals to communities with collective emotional intelligence that we rarely encounter. We see people traveling from country to country to reunite after the courses end or engaging in new adventures together.☀️

We know that heart circles can engineer higher emotional availability in order to process intense emotions collectively and individually. They hold a space for anyone ready enough to evolve through a highway of collective care or for the shy hearts that absorb like sponges, all contributing to a collective emotional regulation, release, and growth.

From now on, we’ll be implementing heart circles in other programs, including Unplugged, because beyond better regulation, we need rituals that ground us to our human nature. 🫂

O dusty mountains,
rugged mountains
Were you laughing at us,
watching us walking with strain?
When we’ve all been rejoicing
while seeing your veins.

O rusty mountains,
clumsy mountains,
What were you thinking
during our distant complaints?
All crying in a circle after we
shared our common pains.

Dance Creation as a Reflective Practice 🍃✨

Are you a dance artist, and want to explore the creative process of dance as a reflective practice?
Paleohori invites you to apply for an immersive residency in Lefkada island. 🌊☀️

A co-living and practising set up within a diverse global community for 5 summer weeks, where participants will get the opportunity to explore their preference of practices, movement and dancing while focusing on simply being and being together with the rest of the group.

If you are interested in decolonised techniques, decentralised dance narratives, choreography and micro activisms, choreographic strategies for reflection, dramaturgical integration of the audience in the reflecting process and more, then this will be the nest for you to deeply explore, evolve and connect with similar thinking individuals and creators.

Venue: Paleohori art-space

With today’s sunrise marking the 2nd of December we can officially say that winter is here. Crispiness has started gathering in the air and we are really feeling the change of seasons while witnessing nature alternating her colours. 🧣🍁🍂

Things are slowly brewing as we have been given the space to brainstorm and organise our actions for the upcoming season. In the act of noticing you can often find the answers you had been looking for, and winter is the ideal season to do just that. We want to wish everyone a cosy and warm winter and we’ll be back with more updates regarding the program very soon!

Until then, have a happy festive month ahead and let the winter settle.

After some time of well deserved and very much needed rest, following an intense yet inspiring summer, we are back on track ready to dive into new creative processes for the next year! 🌱

As fall arrived, we found the space to reflect and digest everything that happened during the previous year and really felt our hearts full of thankfulness for every soul that our nest had the chance to host.

Speaking of that, as the seasons are changing and developing, so do our plans for the next year. Very soon, we will announce the new residencies and programs that Paleohori will be hosting for the next season, so if you want to stay up to date, all you have to do is keep an eye out through our instagram. 👀
