Some weddings feel like dreams wrapped in golden light—and this one at the Windmill Resort was exactly that.

Surrounded by olive trees, full bloom lavenders and whispers of summer wind, this celebration was the epitome of refined beauty. Every detail, from the handcrafted tablescape to the gentle palette of yellow and ivory flowers, told the story of a couple deeply in love and a day filled with meaning.

The Windmill itself, iconic and full of charm, offered the most magical backdrop—where old-world elegance met the understated luxury of a Greek island evening. Guests dined under the stars, the music echoed softly into the night, and time seemed to slow down just enough to take it all in.

Imagine each boutonnière, meticulously crafted with a unique blend of blooms and greenery, whispering tales of romance and joy. As the groom stands at the altar, his boutonnière mirrors the bride’s bouquet, a subtle yet profound connection between them. Each groomsman, adorned with these tiny floral artworks, carries a piece of the day’s magic. This cool, fun, and dashing groom, channeling James Bond vibes, truly had the time of his life on his wedding day in magical Kythira. Surrounded by his closest friends and groomsmen, the morning was filled with laughter and camaraderie as they prepared together at the picturesque El Sol Hotel in beautiful Kapsali, with the crystal-clear waters of the bay creating the perfect backdrop.

When the time came, he made his way to the church, where he saw his other half waiting for him—radiant and full of love. They tied the knot in a heartfelt ceremony that brought tears of joy to many, marking the beginning of their life together as husband and wife.

The celebrations that followed were nothing short of extraordinary. Their reception and dinner were filled with meaningful moments, laughter, and a warm atmosphere that reflected the couple’s unique bond. As the night unfolded, they amazed their guests with an incredible party that had everyone on the dance floor, celebrating until the early hours.

It was a day to remember—filled with love, joy, and the kind of energy only a once-in-a-lifetime event can bring.

But the real magic here is that this wedding setup is in a traditional kamara, which makes it truly unique. There’s something so special about the arched architecture—it creates an intimate atmosphere that feels warm and inviting. I also think that an arched room is the perfect setting for long tables, enhancing the overall elegance and symmetry of the design.

Watching his face light up with love, awe, and anticipation as she steps into view, it’s as if time stands still. This is exactly what I loved about this lovely couple from Belgium! They embraced every moment with their loved ones and kept their spirits high throughout the entire celebration. I recently had the pleasure of planning and designing a stunning wedding at El Sol Hotel in Kapsali. The location itself is breathtaking, with views of the sea, the castle, and the iconic Hytra rock. The wedding had a subtle olive theme that was understated yet elegant. When the 90 guests arrived, they were blown away by the lush olive and rose centerpieces, the beautifully arranged art de la table, the warm lighting, the live music, and, of course, the incredible views. The couple, who are incredibly kind, happy, and appreciative, made the day even more special. It was a magical day that truly reflected their vision and love.
