The master of the sparkling tree
does live in his house of books
a ladder they form
of garden plot rows
across a vastness
that only time knows.

And each step
an acorn is carefully sown
and each step
a secret is silently learned
and each step
a magick is wrought
done and casted.

And the ages they turn
and the anvils they blaze
and the sermons they roar
and the lions they sing.

In the heart of the heart’s library
a hive of a million bees
in the heart of the heart’s chorus
she draws the circle
and we make the honey as one.

All through the sleepless winters
we build and we build
for time has an architecture
known to the invisible.

And so with each book
each gesture
each spell.

In the body of the teacher
in the hands of the worker
in the columns of the temple
and in the light
of the radiant, storied windows
the craft does reside
tracking its course across the ages
in the secret tongues of sages
and only when the letters are forgotten
do the trees
sing and the butterflies speak.

And now we can hear it
for it is our language
now we can sing maps
and dream worlds
and in the round
house of wisdom
the fables bring us closer
and the sun
bursts forth eternal
and the ages are replanted.

The ages are replanted
and in time the forest opens
in time the forest opens
and the masters read the trees.

Walk ye then on the paths
of the poets
of the sages
of the drummers of time.

Walk then on the path of the future
as it makes love with the past.

Walk then, on the road of bees
and make the way
full, straight, and whole.

Yay have we thus arrived.

In 6 weeks time, on January 10th, I will be launching the Meta Magick Tarot course for its Tenth run! This course is an intensive, unique exploration of the Tarot deck that is timed to the orbit of Venus using the remarkable "Forest of Life Magickal Calendar". You will receive a treasure-laden PDF, A meditation to practice, and a video lesson, weekly for 32 weeks, and in addition each week there will be a live, 90 minute Q&A session on Zoom, which will be recorded.

Meta Magick is a unique philosophy of magickal practice. This course is not for complete beginners (though mature beginners can still benefit from the practice and company), and will instead offer abundant magickal treasures for experienced practitioners, including magick squares, gematria formulae, and rare arcana. The course is open to all paths, although tolerance is essential.

The Meta Magick tarot is a buffet of esoteric, philosophical, and creative ideas. It is not traditional, but it respects traditions.

You may use the course as a prompt to make your own Tarot decks and share them in our group chats.

You will make friends, share ideas, and explore a unique magickal calendar system with an adept guide.

The course has 3 parts of 10, 11, and 11 weeks respectively. The cost for the course is $250 USD per part. For the next 3 weeks, however there will be an early bird special - anyone who signs up and pays for part one in the next 3 weeks will receive the special price of $200 all three parts of the course for each part - for a total savings of $150.

The three horizontals plus the central pillar form a structure that we can compare to the Hierophant's scepter - a triple cross. This is at the same time a key to the mysteries.

The three crossroads represent three levels of awareness that can become active.

The first, and lowest (Devil/Tower) represents the consciousness that awakens from the sleep of pure reactivity, and understands that it is formed by various forces, archons, and structures.

The second, central crossroad (Strength/High Priestess), signifies the act of manifesting power from out of the Mystery - now the adept is capable of asserting their own pressure onto manifestation, and or establishing their own structural presence within the malleable field of reality.

The third, upper crossroads (Empress, High Priestess), represents the moment of surrender to the divine that allows Love to be the guiding principle of one's manifestation in existence, and turns one's "powers" over to the horizon of maximum divine wholeness. This act then sanctifies and blesses all subsequent levels.

This threefold initiation forms the stages of development of true adepts within the field of metamagick and in relation to the mysteries. These three initiations do not cancel each other out - even as they are experienced separately, their effects are cumulative and additive, resulting in three "jewels" that shine out of the Magician's soul:

Wakefulness, Power, Love.

This is the Hierophant's Key.

Character is normally understood as being a consistency with principles and values that hold together, and people of character are viewed as fair, consistent, and trustworthy. One of the reasons that math is compelling to the human mind is that it is trustworthy. Math, essentially has character. That is its strength.

So I believe that our relationship to mathematical patterns should be more than one of just casual external interest. The mathematical pattern is a paradigm of character, and when our character can be entrained to grow into a consistent, mathematical pattern, we ourselves become trustworthy - as per the pattern.

Even moreso, the maths we contemplate - that we spiritually merge with - are reborn into OUR patterns - of behavior, action, thought, imagination, and projection - AS fields. We bend time towards the essence of our intentions and our character.

The broken, dis-integrated character is naturally weaker, because its fields contain many contradictions that translate into a lack of consistency in terms of personal spiritual energy.

Integration of pattern into consistency is a key factor in strength - both of the body and the soul. The parts have to be working together - and if the right balance is struck, then this integration will effect a kind of miraculous resonance - or a fractal scaling into eternity.

Here are two mathematical patterns that are of deep contemplative value. The first is the Lo Shu magick square - the only magic square of order 3, and the second is what I call the "Sunflower Array" - a unique magical tiling of hexagonal tiles that is the only such tiling of ANY order possible.

Note that, fascinatingly, these two rare beasts both centre the number 5. Imagine that five is the trunk of a tree with 9 roots and 19 branches.

If you want true strength, don't focus on force, focus on character - and if you want true character, do not focus on attributes, focus on integrality. If you want integrality, study mathematical patterns as if there was no difference between the self doing the study, and the pattern being studied.

Patterns of great character contemplate themselves into realization.
