Slap is a community for electronic dance music and other arts centred in Hong Kong. Slap hosts a cafe, exhibition space and nightclub in a 150-capacity venue with elevated ceilings set to open in Mong Kok, Kowloon. The nightclub’s programming is eclectic, promoting the growth of local talent and is a platform for sonic and visual experimentation. Slap welcomes international visitors, artists and DJs.

Either way, this one’s going to SLAP.

We’ve been cooking something special for the Hong Kong community with 3 of the cities’ boundary-pushing crews linking up to put on something genre-bending across our 2 rooms.

Expect from the 3 crews:

Yee. is a music and community platform championing the sounds of the underground, from Hong Kong to the world. Bass, breaks, techno and everything in between.

SLIMEFEST is back after a year-long hiatus, taking the time off to hone their sound and craft. Known for their raw, sweaty warehouse parties hosting international guests near and far, this return is no exception to the energy they’ve brought over the years.

GONE FISHIN’ is telling you to: ‘come listen to some wobbly bass line, have a laugh with your next mates, smoke 23 ci******es and dance around like a twat.’

This one takes over both rooms with a stacked local lineup. Whether you’re locked in with us in Room 1, Room 2, or bouncing between the two, expect a night where all three crews link up together, bring their flavour and cook something special for our city.

We’re excited to share this mix by Yung Waste recorded live at our club on Sunday, 25 May. That night was the first time we opened on a Sunday and we were joined by CRRDR, KATAGYAL, Baby Diwata, Lovelife and Phoebe. Thanks to everyone that came to dance and made memories with us, and thanks to Yung Waste for opening Room 1 with this mix.

Catch Scott B for first time in our club (behind the booth, at least!) this Saturday at CIRCUITS.

His journey into underground music began at parties in Nottingham, England. Since returning his native Hong Kong, he co-founded the innovative electronic music collective, Distrikt, and established himself as a resident DJ at 宀 Club.

Scott has shared lineups with notable artists including: CEM, DJ Nobu, DJ Tool, and Voiski, showcasing his eclectic taste and versatility. With an emphasis on spontaneity, Scott’s sets are often filled with unexpected moments that keep the energy alive and the crowd engaged.

xylon has been well known in Hong Kong’s underground electronic music scene for years under his former name, Busyboi.

In late 2024, he took on a new name and with it a new musical direction, making a bold statement in January 2025 with ‘Xylonmancy’, a 4-track EP released on Tokyo-based label Hekdb. Other recent collaborations include a release on NU-S3RVO’s debut compilation which we celebrated during SLAP 拍’s first club night of 2025. In March 2025, xylon was named on Mixmag Asia’s ‘Artists Exciting Us’ list.

In Hong Kong, xylon is one half of Cheaper Than Therapy which contributes to the alternative electronic music scene with innovative electronic music-related projects.

xylon will play in Room 2 this Saturday. His sound is dancefloor-driven, intimate and filled with minimal grooves and tribal rhythms.

Don’t miss her powerful, relentless techno and breaks fused mixes in our Funktion-One-clad main room. After grabbing the attention of Australian dancefloors FUKHED continues to be on a roll. A raver at heart, her sets are filled with melancholy, speed and dancefloor favourites.

Meet Yu Kawabata.

Pure industrial hardcore techno fire in latex.

This Friday night, Yu Kawabata joins us alongside Max Durante plus industrial techno and hardcore lovers from Hong Kong at Velvet Metal Fantasy.

Max and Yu excitement is overflowing building up to their first appearance in Hong Kong for their full-force live performance during this Friday’s club night!

Yu Kawabata is an industrial techno artist from Nara, Japan.

Her sound is pure industrial techno, a unique blend of hard sounds and fe**sh attitude with influences from black metal and classical music.

As you can see, she madly loves latex and performs as a DJ dressed in latex as she explores the boundaries between ‘performance’ and ‘DJ set’.

Her live and DJ sets are high energy and impactful, exuding charisma in the booth! Alongside Max Durante, Yu is the co-founder of the Missing Future label, an avant-garde underground DIY label started in 2024 unapologetically devoted to raw industrial distortion, relentless hardcore patterns and pushing boundaries.

There’s lots to look forward to in May at SLAP 拍

Tonight, we welcome iconic London drum and bass producer Sustance to Asia for his debut, presented by MO7. Our 2 rooms open at 10pm.

Tomorrow night, BODYWORK. London q***r scene mainstay and London Superstore resident Ms. G is on the turntables & decks in Room 1. We’re also joined by the slickest local talent across 2 rooms.

SAT, 10 MAY. VNWAVE takes us on an audiovisual journey for part three of their experimental music series. They’re joined by Over My Body’s Max Dahlhaus from Berlin who will present a live A/V set. Advance tickets are live.

SAT, 17 MAY. Pro6ram relaunches with a lineup of visionary artists including, experimental electronica & rap influenced Yoyi. This one is 18+. Tickets are already live.

FRI, 23 MAY. The UK’s drum and bass DJ, Operate takes on the Road to Locust joined by Rolling HK’s Immuno, MMEE, FUWA.WAV and ILLI. Room 2 lineup TBA when tickets go live next week.

SAT, 24 MAY. THE LABYRINTH. Neural Spiral takes us on a mental techno maze with an exceptionally talented, all-female lineup from across the globe. Tickets have just gone live.

FRI, 30 MAY. This night is for a few. Protest underground techno music for the punks as we invite legendary Tresor resident and underground techno DJ since the 1980s, Max Durante! Durante and Yu Kawabata perform live at SLAP 拍. Plus, a host of familiar faces from HK’s raw, industrial, hardcore underground techno sounds! Early bird tickets are now live & stay tuned for more details as this night is not just about a party.

SAT, 31 MAY. We get smoky and steamy across 2 rooms as S2 presents HOTBOX’s bass and tech numbers.

Last weekend was one of our favourite yet - thanks to everyone who came along and danced across our 2 rooms! Here’s what we’ve got lined up over the Labour Holiday:

WEDS, 30.04 - heavyweight reggae and dub from HK’s Blood Dunza, bass and if you’re still standing, hardcore in Room 1. Dan-neo, Konnection, Tom Price and SAMO get things steamy in Room 2.

FRI, 02.05 - MO7 records tore up the dance when they celebrated their 4th birthday at SLAP 拍 in February. They’re back with the Asia debut of Sustance. 2nd release tickets are available.

SAT, 03.05 - we get physical and hedonistic with BODYWORK, London’s q***r scene icon Ms. G and friendly faces from home.
