Kayaking From Pearl to Pearl
Ten years after paddling adventure over Adriatic Sea in kayaks from Prevlaka to Savudria, when the team of three enthusiasts in 13 days paddled 625 kilometers, original team member Stipe Radelic is again leading kayakers, this time with amended mission.
Today, when we are witnessing that more and more microplastics are present in the sea and fish, indirectly becoming part of a human food chain, these nature and kayaking enthusiasts decided to add new goals to the expedition: they will collect waste from far and distant beaches. In addition, the will carry out monitoring and comparison of the coast, especially the sea pollution status in Croatia, based on their experience and knowledge from the last expedition.
In July 2019, the kayaking team will repeat 625 kilometers long sea adventure that only 9 bravest kayak teams tried so far (with only four successes). This expedition is planned according to LNT (Leave no Trace) concept – without traces and negative influence on environment in any way. During 15 days expedition, the team will collect photo and video material of far and distance bays and beaches.
