We had some amazing memories with our tours to Aran Mhor Island, Knock, Sliabh Liag (Slieve League). From the Karaoke parties to the event management It has been great.

I am moving to Sydney on the 8th August therefore the business will be closing down in Ireland. I would like to thank everyone for the kindness, support and everything and hopefully when I move home in the future back to the best place in the world Buncrana !! We will be back bigger and better !!!

Hi Everyone,
Bad news...
I did my very best but unfortunately the car parade will not go ahead. The Legislation would not be changed by the department of health. I tried my best and I was debating with the top people but it can’t go ahead. The guards are only doing there job by policing the legislation given by the Government and I would like to thank them for their co operation. I believe that it is horrible for the kids and families in our town and every town in Ireland that we can’t get a car parade which is done completely safely and following all Covid guidelines and causes no gatherings....

Thank you to the politicians, Jack Murray Rena Donaghey Charlie McConalogue Joe McHugh TD - Delivering for Donegal Thomas Pringle TD Senator Eileen Flynn Pádraig Mac Lochlainn TD who stood up and fought the case for us the community and every town in Ireland however unfortunately the Government simply won’t allow it and it is a shame on them !!!

All I can say is I’m very sorry it can’t happen but I did my best and brought it to National level to fight our cause. Stay safe and thank you everyone for your support 👍 We will be back bigger and better next time 🙏🙏

Our Further Education and Training (FET) Service, in conjunction with SOLAS, has launched an open call for funding aimed primarily at local Community Education Providers/Groups. The Mitigating Against Educational Disadvantage Fund (MAEDF) aims to address educational disadvantage which may be experienced by adult learners, and has a particular focus on supporting the engagement and reengagement of adult learners in the community. This call aims to reduce barriers to participation in FET by facilitating wider access to digital technologies, equipment, materials and other supports. I am calling on the Donegal Gaa county board to also scrap the annual levy paid by clubs, I think it is appalling anyway they won’t give a refund to clubs especially as they are shut down completely.

I believe Mental Health is so Important. I agree everyone should be equal. With the times that is in it Covid19 I want to tell all the Men and Woman out there to speak to someone if you are feeling down.

Let’s face life everyone In this world have suffered from feeling down and that is normal. Everyone has great people around them but I believe there is always one individual in your life who you can tell anything. This person was introduced to you for a reason, to mind you, be your friend, help you, guide you in the right direction. Please take advantage of this individual for support and advice and you be there for them also.

Life is a journey and you half to have a bad day to earn a good day. There is more to life than feeling down and worrying. There is always a light at the end of every dark tunnel and lots of good people around you even excellent services and charities. Their is nothing to be ashamed of using a charity.

Please keep raising awareness on mental health. We all help each other and mind each other and be nice and kind and friendly to everyone. A smile makes a big difference to someone in their day. You may not think it but the receiver of the smile feels the comforting. Please see numbers below if you need support.

It is a shame how O Flahertys idea to put a smile on our locals faces during lockdown was stopped....

This proves by one of the top Barristers that it was legal. The support from the whole town and across the country regarding this shows the support and appreciation to the O Flahertys family by doing this and following all rules and regulations. Well done to Pauric, Fiachra, and Jean on doing this and I personally seen photos and videos and seen some very happy people.

As I said in a previous post, this family pulls out all the stops for supporting local !!
Every Friday there is a Coffee mornings for a variety of local causes, they hold fundraisers etc throughout the year for local causes and deserves to be recognised for there good work.

Thank you O Flaherty’s for everything you do for the town and I know when you get up and running again you will have more excellent ideas and contribute more things to the community 👏👏

Huge Congratulations to Buncrana Tidy Towns Initiative. Very Very well deserved 👏👏👏👏

Holy moly! We've only gone and won the regional & the overall (large town) Tidy Towns Pollinator Plan award 🥳 We are so grateful to George McDermott for guiding this work and to Wild Inishowen for all their support. This is a huge achievement.

The good news doesn't stop there. We've won a gold medal (for the fifth year in a row) and made the highly commended category. We are over the moon 🏆

Huge thanks to our volunteers for all their hard work and to their families for supporting them throughout the year. Special thanks to all the community groups that work with us, Donegal County Council and to you, our neighbours and friends, for all your encouragement.
