On Wednesday temperatures are set to rise as very warm air is expected to push up over Ireland from the South.

Unfortunately it will only last a couple of days but temperatures are expected to rise to 25°C or even 26°C on Wednesday on Thursday. Dropping down again towards the weekend to around 20°C.

This week is set to be drier with some good sunshine overall but still some showers pushing through.

Warm air is set to push up next week keeping temperatures up.

A heatwave is classed as 5 days or more with temperatures over 25°C.

Temperatures next week are set to rise to 26 or 27°C with some models forecasting higher temperatures!

With these temperatures a mix of sunny, humid, cloudy at times and thunderstorms can be expected.
