Is Launching an exciting new project
“Short tales of Love and War”.
I am looking for Actors, writers and directors to get involved to create a series of short performance, working with the theme love and war. These performances should be a minimum of 1 minute and a maximum of 20 minutes. These performances can be anything from monologues, duologues to short one act plays, as long as they fit the theme of Love or war or both.
You can get involved as a writer and if your work is chosen you will be provided with a director to put it on if you don’t have one in mind yourself. If you are interested in being a director you can either submit a proposal with a text you have written or a well-known scene from a play if it is royalty free or you have the rights to it. If you would like to be involved as a director but do not have a something you would like to direct, please submit a short written note or recording telling me about yourself, your experience and your writing style. Directors will be required to organise their own rehearsal space and schedule. Support with casting is provided. Actors if you are interested in being a part of “Short tales of Love and War”. You can apply with a headshot and actors cv. It is also possible to submit a proposal to be involved in all three as Writer director and actor.

I had the pleasure of working with an incredible group of aspiring writers. Such a talented group of children at my Creative Writing Workshops this morning. Below is the start of our story the children created as a group. Ending with a cliffhanger the children then went on to write their own stories continuing on from the line " Breaking News, this just in". I was blown away by the talent and creativity of the young minds who attended the workshop. For those interested I have the start of the story I would love any child who might be interested to send me on their ending of the story. I would love to read them and see about creating a showcase of the work created .

Finally a huge thank you to the Kerry Writers Museum for organising this event, I absolutely loved being part of it .

The year is 2787 and the world is run by robots! That's right actually robots amoung us . Technology now is next level, giving people the 3D experience with a touch of a button, not only will you be able to talk your friends but a holographic image of them will appear right before your very eyes .

With a population of 27.4 billion in the world it can be hard to tell who amoung us are human and who are robots. Times like this calls for a hero. Who would carry such a burden. Perhaps a spirited detective, an orphan girl who goes by the name of Pippa. Detective Pippa and her trusty sidekick Fluffy the talking dog. It is the year 2787, yah we have taking dogs, beside every hero needs a quirky sidekick .

Late one evening, p**a was relaxing in a dreamy daye with her sidekick fluffy when, BREAKING NEWS flashes across the television screen, startling Pippa and disturbing fluffy from her slumber.
