My passion for photography was visible as a teenager, but it was only 8 years ago i started to follow my dreams through photography. I love photography not only because immortalise memories, it's also a form of art expression. I feel free capturing those special moments and also giving a little touch of my style and personality. I have a photojournalist, candid ,documentary, fresh, funny, timele
ss style. My photographs reflect expressions and feelings through a love story telling. I also love portraiture, landscapes, night and long exposure, photojournalism, documentary. My photographs are a mix of scenarios i have explored and i captured during the time. I am a member of "World Photography Organization" Ireland Street Photography, Fine Art Photography, Photography Smena Society, Irish landscape photographers and Urban street photography. My publications included in newspaper "The Guardian" of UK , Global justice FOCUS magazine, Global STAND development platform , Dublin Urban Art and Yeah International students magazine. In 2015 i had my first solo exhibition "Ireland from the inside" in the Shannon Irish Pub in Montevideo/Uruguay. About me:
My career as a journalist began in 2004, when after having studied social communication at the Universidad del Trabajo del Uruguay i was chosen to collaborate with radio CX42 Radio in the program Montevideo (Montevideo City). Moving to Ireland in 2005 i began working as a make up artist in companies such as Chanel, Christian Dior and Clarins. I am personally very interested in enacting the culture, so that in 2012 organized the "First Mateada Collective" in St. Stephen Park in Dublin. The idea of this event was to educate about the ritual of mate and show a little of our culture. The First Mateada led to a second and even a third edition in which over 200 people attended. In 2013, i represented Uruguay in Miss ethnic Ireland, organized by Ifrah Ahmed, one Somalie activist, fighting Female ge***al mutilation. In 2014, during a visit by two weeks to Uruguay, i organized the "Day of Wellness and Beauty" at the Hospital Pereira Rosell center for oncology patients of the same. The project idea was to bring together many of these women ( passing a hard life moment) and organizations involved to help them and treated them with a make over, to make them feel better even for a little while. With the collaboration of Silvia Olivieri, Uruguayan makeup artist and former resident of Ireland, we held this event. On one of the visits i performed to the oncologyc center in the hospital Pereira Rosell, i discovered that many of the patients felt lonely without family around, because the vast majority come from inside of the country and don't have many resources. An idea came to fruition and when I traveled to Ireland, i decided to make a raffle to raise enough money for a laptop for the oncology sector women in the same hospital. This would facilitate communication with families and make life more bearable for these women. Conducting a raffle in Ireland, with the help of two visual artists Kevin Bohan (Ireland) and Aga Szot (Poland), who donated art pieces, managed to gather enough money for 2 laptops, which were donated to the group "Honoring Life "nonprofit that supports women organization of the center. In December 2014, I conducted a project with homeless people in Dublin, through interviews with the same achievement i linked it with organizations working in this sector in order to raise money to help them. In late 2014, i began working as a newspaper photographer for Demotix world leading Phtojournalism, covering such important episodes as the referendum on equal marriage, one of the largest marches in the Irish history against a water tax , Amnesty International, TTIP (Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) treaty between Europe and the United States, community Grangegorman (land illegally occupied by 30 people evicted by the authorities in a legal battle of more than 3 months). In 2015, during a extended visit to my family with my daughter, Neisha, i went to live to Uruguay for a few months with my daughter Neisha, i managed the time to have a solo exhibition in the Shannon Irish Pub in Montevideo. "Ireland from the inside". Another dream came true. A compilation of pictures from the last year i have taken in Ireland, most of them in a photojournalistic style. I donated the total amount of the sales of my postcards to Maisy Gomes, a very young oncologic patient, that her family was struggled to pay for the expenses to come and visit her. LIFE IS A JOURNEY......
