Indoor Market in Aid of LARCC, Cancer Support Sanctuary at The Village Barn, Tyrrellspass. There will be 30 vendors onsite between the Sanctuary, Orangery & Barn - lots of opportunity to get those last few bits for Christmas. €5 Entry with Tea/Coffee & Scones.

So we finally reopened Ryan’s hardware over in Tyrrellspass this morning. It’s next to the barn. A huge thanks to Paddy, Liam and all the people involved in the massive renovation. We look forward to welcoming everyone back over the coming weeks and months.

We are encouraging all vendors to take a table or a rail, be it to sell foodstuffs, Christmas decorations, clothing items, handmade crafts or to showcase a your brand, company or organisation, you are all very welcome.

We bade farewell to a longstanding member of our crew earlier today who has been at St. Joseph's Secondary School, since we started catering there way back in 2016. Thanks for your hard work over the years and very best wishes Valerie in the future from all of your work family!!

Goodbyes are never easy and today's was a particularly sad one for all the members of our school community as we said farewell to Val, a treasured member of our canteen staff. Val is one of the nicest people you could meet. Her time in Rochfortbridge can be characterised by her consideration, kindness and care. She knew everyone's name, everyone's order and just the way they liked it. She always had a word for everyone, staff and students alike. If someone was having a bad day they got a little extra kindness along with their order and it was lovely today to see that kindness being repaid through the outpouring of gifts from students and staff; each one wanting her to know how much we will miss her! Thank you Valerie. You know you will always be a special part of our school community. Some people leave their mark and you have certainly left yours. We wish you the very best in your new career and we know you won't ever be a stranger to your SJR family 🩵

While Johnny will turn the key for the final time on Friday we have big plans in place to remodel the entire shop and are planning to re open the some Friday in October with a shiny new store offering most of the current products along with some laminate flooring options and lots of sanitary ware options and coffee! We wish Johnny all the very best in the future and hopefully he might be back to do an odd day in the future.

It’s quite something to have a man who saw you do your first day’s work turn up on your last day of work to wish you well in your retirement – especially when those two dates are half a century apart!

On Wednesday Emma pulled out all the stops and done a little BBQ for all at TEAM which they all enjoyed. While TEAM Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands are long established, they have had to move to a new page on Facebook so really need people to help them get more followers to help them in the fundraising etc. Please visit their page to follow them and share there page to help them.
