Hi folks,
I'm restarting an appeal to help the homeless. There's no time line with this as it will be collected on a fortnightly basis. I have a shopping list for people to see what is needed at this time.
*Toothbrushes and toothpaste
*Sanitary items
*Bars of soap and shower gels
*baby wipes
*shampoo and conditioner
*roll on deodorant men and women
*underwear and socks for men and women
*chocolate
*crisps
*bottled water
*minerals.
All help no matter how small you think it is means so much. My shop is a drop off point. Please help any way that you can. Thanks Bonnie 💐

I have had the wonderful opportunity again this year to do the flowers in the Heritage Centre in Lismore for the Immrama Writers Festival 2025 that's happening in this weekend.
I always find this so much fun

That's the end of a hard week. Last pick up done just just an hour ago. I hope everyone enjoyed their surprise flowers. It was lovely to see the regular faces again. And I got the chance to welcome some new faces too. And my favourite part part of the week was all the banter and the craic with them all. I am sending out an appeal for warm clothes,trainers,coats,blankets,sleeping bags,food,toiletries (shampoo,conditioner,shower gel,bars of soap) for the homeless. If you can help out at all drop the off here at the shop. No matter how small it will be appreciated

That's it, the closed sign is turned on another Christmas eve. I'm exhausted but it was worth it. And thats a wrap folks after two decades of Bonnies Bouquets Halloween fancy dress. I cant it believe 20 years. It all started when my grandson was born, and my friend and I were discussing how Lismore had nothing going on for Halloween for children. She suggested a fancy dress. "If you build it,they will come." So I took a wild chance,expecting a handful to turn up outside my shop for a bit of scary craic. Well, when I opened the door to see a sea of people all waiting to show off their finest scary costumes I was blown away. Each year it got bigger and bigger. We moved from the park to the Lismore Castle courtyard and finally finishing in Lismore Castles spooky stable yard the last few years.
I would like to thank Lord and Lady Burlington and Lismore Castle for kindly allowing us to use their spooktacular venue year after year.
I'd like to follow that by thanking Dennis and Patrick Nevin for their kindness and generosity down the years.
Thank you to Tony and Liz Oakham for loaning us the marquee all these years. And to all the lads and lassies who helped to "raise the barn" as I like to call it.
Thank you to all the very generous sponsors over the 20 years. All very much appreciated.
We have had so many volunteers down the years I can't thank everyone individually. So thank you everyone. This year and last year we did have some students from Blackwater Community School who played a scary blinder.
The biggest thank goes to all of you,all those who have showed up in all kinds of weather. To the parents who spent weeks designing homemade costumes. To those who stuck it out in the rain and supported all the worthy charities we raised money for. Would you believe that together we have raised the bones of €30,000. Thank you all so much.
Thank you to Lismore and Tallow First Responders for their help. And to the first responder volunteers who do so much for our locality. For being the first ones there when emergencies are called and for all they do to keep us safe til back up arrives when we need them. Keep up the good work.
