In the middle of the ceremony, there’s often a moment that needs no words.

The beautiful rose ceremony is a simple yet powerful way for a couple to exchange their first gift as newlyweds—a single rose. A symbol of love, of commitment, of the quiet beauty in thoughtfulness.

It can be a private promise. A gesture to remember in times of joy or challenge. A way to say, "I see you, and I choose you."

This small act holds deep meaning, and it’s always such a moving part of the ceremony.

Wedding Rules!

Something I tell my couples when it comes to planning their wedding: there are no rules! Make it everything YOU dream of!

There’s no wedding scorecard.
No secret panel of professional wedding judges. Nobody deducting points from your wedding because you didn't do XYZ.

You dont have to wear a specific colour. You dont have to match dad's tie to the bridemaids dress. You don’t have to cut a cake.
You don’t have to do anything that doesn’t feel like “you.”
You don’t have to do things “because that’s how it’s done.” Your wedding is yours.
Want to walk in together? Go for it.
Not into having a wedding party? Totally fine.
Love a ritual that doesn’t “fit the theme”? Do it anyway.

My favourite thing about weddings: It is yours to shape—malleable, personal, true. How raw and beautiful is that?
So if something doesn’t resonate, leave it out. If something feels meaningful, bring it in.
And if you're not sure what you want, that's okay too. We'll figure it out together.

Let go of the pressure to make it “perfect” and instead make it yours!

Hi to all my new followers! I'm Rev. Catherine, I'm an Irish speaking, pet friendly celebrant based in Co Meath.

I am a registered solemniser and can perform legally binding wedding ceremonies or symbollic, should you choose. I offer weddings, elopements, vow renewals and more. Handfasting is close to my heart but I offer a range of enhancements to suit every couple. Making your dream ceremony come to life is an absolute passion of mine. While I am deeply rooted in Celtic ways, I have spent several years studying Peruvian Shamanism, following the path of the Qero tradition's Paco Nan under the guidance and education of renowned Incan shaman and healers, and can incorporate aspects of this also. So whether it's traditional or non-traditional, I vow to create a beautiful, bespoke ceremony that reflects you as a couple. Having gotten married in 2025 myself I am fresh through the process and here to answer any questions you may have!

Blessed to have performed a beautiful ceremony today , pics to follow once my beautiful couple, T&J, have had a chance to upload their own. In the meantime, I'd like to mention how FABULOUS the walkway to the ballroom is! These beautiful, lit up cherry blossom branches are just magical and pics do not do it justice. A stunning little boutique hotel full of charm, friendly staff and excellent food.

I recently had the pleasure of being invited to an open day at . The one and only Resomarium in Ireland. Resomation has sometimes been referred to as "water cremation", except it uses no fire! It is also known as Alkaline Hydrolysis. It is completely 100% green for the environment. We got a tour and we were shown the machines and processes. The level of love and care put into the final journey of your loved ones is amazing. Their up front price plans are available on their site, along with lots of info. As a celebrant, I was so grateful for this open day, as it educates us, and when we understand better, we can better provide support and explain processes to our clients during those difficult life moments. Thank you and for an amazingly interesting trip.
