Congratulations to Garden of Yeadon for winning this weekend’s best dressed stall! The love and attention put into their display did not go unnoticed and it was so lovely to catch up with them and learn more about the reclaimed materials that were used to create it.
Esther, the potter extraordinaire, creates quirky and beautiful ceramics in their home studio in Old Parish, just outside Dungarvan. From charming pots and mugs to delightful air plant holders, their work is bursting with personality and fun.
Dave, meanwhile, brings the magic to life with their sustainable, upcycled stall. Made from old whiskey boxes, bits of tree, and even floorboards, it’s a perfect reflection of their commitment to creativity, sustainability, and reimagining what’s possible with recycled materials.
As the Ballymaloe Craft Fair winds down, we’re reflecting on the amazing people we met this weekend—those who bring so much warmth, creativity, and inspiration into our lives. Among them was Kristin Jensen, the publisher behind 9 Bean Rows and Blasta Books who reminded us of a beautiful truth: buying small makes big dreams come true.
Kristin's mission is to show the diversity and vibrancy of modern Irish food culture. Her books truly capture this passion, from ‘An Irish Food Story’ by Jp McMahon, to ‘Funky’ by Caitlin Ruth, ‘Seed to Supper’ by Michelle Darmody for budding young foodies, and ‘Cook’ and ‘Bake’ by Graham Herterich. Each title celebrates the incredible talent and stories behind Irish food.
These books make the perfect stocking fillers for loved ones, sharing the magic of Irish food culture.
We've had the pleasure of hosting Barbavilla Dairy in the Wood Shed for 2 Craft Fair weekends.
Peter, the one-man-band behind the delicious cheeses and butter from Westmeath, is selling cow's milk cheese, sheep cheese, and even goat cheese!
Have a taste of his cheeses by purchasing a cheese and bread cup with Ballymaloe Relish (of course). His cheeses pair beautifully with the many other drink producers on-site—so why not create your own tasting experience?
Cillian and Chris from @rubyreeseofficial are selling their fantastic range of treats, nutritional supplements, and grooming products for your pup in the back of the Big Shed this weekend.
If you're visiting the Craft Fair with your dog, be sure to pay them a visit and do some treat tasting!
Have you visited The Quirky Picker in the Vintage Shed at the Craft Fair yet?
Eddie’s passion for all things unusual and conversation-starting has been captivating visitors since 1993. Each of his treasures has a unique story to tell which is what makes his stuff so unique and exciting.
Eddie says, “I buy the story and sell the story,” and his unique finds are guaranteed to spark a chat.
The final day of the Ballymaloe Craft Fair is starting today at 10am and ending at 5pm. Looking forward to seeing you all!
Tim and Jamie, aka The Pie Guys, are here this weekend, serving up their award-winning pies! It’s the perfect chance to meet these brilliant makers, chat about their journey, and, of course, taste their delicious creations.
Find them in the Wood Shed by the bar 🍻
Sometimes, you don’t choose the clothes… the clothes choose you 👀
We have loads of clothing and accessory stalls to check out at the craft fair this weekend. Don't be afraid to try stuff on, even if it reaches out and grabs you!
Parking is free for the craft fair but keep in mind that it is quite wet and muddy after the storm. Be sure to wear warm and dry clothes and shoes when visiting this weekend!
Meet Fionn from Zirkulu
Zirkulu was started as a lockdown passion project by Jack Norman and Fionn McCarthy and has since grown legs—and a brand-new store in Kinsale.
The Name: Zirkulu is the Basque word for “circle,” reflecting their dedication to the circular economy. Bonus points for their Z logo inspired by the ogham alphabet.
Pop by the Big Shed, have the chats, and discover the magic of Zirkulu’s sustainable designs.
