Sligo LEADER Partnership Company Ltd are delighted to be supporting a Halloween Parent and Child Cookery Camp this week in Tubbercurry. The programme is a collaboration with Tubbercurry Frc and Eileen's Kitchen Table. The project is part of Safefood Ireland’s Community Food Initiative.

We are delighted to be offering Family Fun Cookery Classes 's Kitchen Table supported with funding from Sligo LEADER Partnership Company Ltd and Community Foods Initiatives this Halloween Break. Achonry Farmers Market
The Achonry market stood with pride,
Where hills met sky and fields spread wide,
For four bright years, its cabins gleamed,
A farmer’s dream, where hope redeemed.

Each trader brought their heart to bear,
With crafts and goods and food to share,
Volunteers with hands so strong
Built cabins where the soul belonged.

But last week, silence took its place,
Empty stalls, an open space.
The joy that once filled every lane
Now waits to rise and thrive again.

Though gates are closed, the hope is high,
That soon beneath the Achonry sky,
And under Knocknashee's great hill,
The market’s hum will rise and fill.

For in each heart, a spark remains,
Of community that still sustains.
We’ll wait and trust, we won’t forget,
The market’s soul is with us yet.

Unfortunately we are away on a mini break so cannot be there today.
Thank u so much to the organisers and volenteers who made this market such a lovely Saturday outing.
A sincere thank you to all our customers who supported us for the last 4 years.
An end of an era for sure. 😔 💔

The Achonry Farmers Market will close permanently on October 12th following its final weekend.   The news was confirmed by Cooloney/Mullinabreena GAA

All good things myst come to an end. Today we had our cookery course finale. We made Chickpea curry with brown rice, herb and tomato bread, a charcuiterie board and lemon drizzle cake. Such a great group . Roll on till i have them again. Many thanks to @tubberfrc and @msletb E

What a fab weekend. We headed off to Northern Ireland for a mini break. Luckily, the light stayed lit in the lighthouse or else JP might have tried to sort it.

Just a flavour of some of our baking this week. We made lots of dishes. Bagels with Hickory rashers, French Toast with fruit coulis, chicken carbonara, vol au vents, pavlova, moussaka and black forest pavlova. Many thanks to @msletb @sligoleader @westsligofrc and @tubbercurryfrc

Our Story

Eileen’s three passions of cooking, teaching and creating recipes has led to the creation of her new brand Eileen’s Kitchen Table – Catering, Courses, Cookbooks.

In 2013 Eileen’s created her first book “Just Look and Cook” which was aimed at beginner cooks, children, college students and people with disabilities. Its success is attributed to the simple text-free method, photographic illustrations and an uncomplicated measuring system which has set this concept apart from others. Cooking is made simple and accessible and can be enjoyed by everyone.
