Just checking in to see how everyone’s week is going😊 I’m waiting on some wreath bases to make a few dried flower wreaths amidst packing up my life in Dublin and moving it to Cork before I head to London! I must admit there are so many things I miss about getting to be creative with fresh flowers but most of all I miss my gorgeous customers. So many of you became friends for life and I feel very lucky to have met you either in person or through here 😊❤️ Things I don’t miss are having to condition flowers at 2am and trying to pay back wholesalers 😂 as the lockdowns ended it really did become a whole lot harder to sell flowers and I know from my other florist friends they went through the same thing but that’s all part of a business with a product that has a short shelf life and one of the reasons why cut flowers are just so precious ❤️
So if you get a chance this week support your local florist they’ll appreciate it more than you know 🥰

Not goodbye just see you later🥰
This year I did something I never had the confidence to do before ❤️ When I was younger my one dream was to train at one of the top Acting Colleges in London but I know I could never have put my parents under that financial pressure and 18 year old me didn’t have the confidence to even try. Fast forward to my 20’s, I thought to myself I’ll give it a go! I printed off the application form and before I even sent it my Dad got sick so that form was thrown into a box with all my other acting books. Then the pandemic arrived, theatres were the first to be shut and with it a years worth of work. Constant phone calls from the powers that be to change my career and do a computer course meant that my mental health was in tatters. So late one night in bed overthinking my life and struggling to see any light, I applied for Rada. Anthony Hopkins trained there, Tom Hiddleston, Sophie Okonedo, Alan Rickman, basically heaps of amazing Actors 😂 I honestly didn’t think I had a chance in hell of getting in but four auditions later whilst out delivering flowers I got the call from London to say I was chosen! It still hasn’t sunk in yet. I can’t explain how much I wanted this. I’m 36 on Sunday and a month from now I’ll be walking through the doors of Rada to start a 3 year BA degree. I honestly think you can have anything in this world but you just have to take that first step and try.❤️ I’ll still be doing wreaths and working with dried flowers but the fresh flowers will have to pause for a little while 🥰 Thank you to all the new friends I’ve made along this flower journey. When you drop off the flowers and a few minutes later you get a text from .ie to say there’s only one left at the train station 😂
I’ve absolutely LOVED making flowers for these guys 🥰❤️ there’ll be a few bunches at Paddy’s Hill tomorrow if you fancy some😉

When you get to wander around the garden of picking any flowers you want to fill a posy jar 😍 honestly Sharon’s garden is filled with the most beautiful blooms! I know she’s already booking out for weddings so I’d definitely send her a message if you’re looking for something special. 🥰

Sunflowers yay or nay?They really are like the marmite of the floral world. So are you a fan? I personally LOVE them 😍
One flower that gives me a rash are those germini/gerberas. I would go so far as to say I hate them. Harsh I know but I really cannot stand them 😂 Is there a certain flower that you really don’t like the look of?

WHAT. A. DAY!!!
On the way to .ie Paddy’s Hill now (excuse for an iced coffee and to admire that incredible view!) Have you been to Paddy’s Hill yet? I only discovered it from doing the flower drop and if you haven’t been please do! It’s absolutely beautiful🥰❤️

Are you fuelled by flowers? Im definitely starting to think I am (coffee helps too!) I’m currently designing this weeks bunch and it’s one of my favourite things to do. In fact I’ve been know to overorder constantly 😂 but this week I’m going to be good 😂 So I’m only going to be able to take a few orders this weekend on top of the café bunches so please do get in touch with me on here as soon as possible 😊

Go wild, for a while 😊
I really think there is so much to admire about people who show courage especially during times like these with so much uncertainty. My friend Kate literally said to me a couple of weeks ago “don’t do it out of fear, be courageous, be brave!” She was talking about something that’s happened for me. I’ll share all about it soon but It does mean a massive change is a coming! I’ve got so many ideas and plans for TLGR but I might have to hold back on the gas for a little while (just a little while).
Gosh this all sounds very ambiguous doesn’t it 😂 I’ll reveal all soon 😘

It’s Irish flower week so I decided to pop down to the wonderful Kay at where florists can go cut their own flowers! Honestly it’s such a hidden gem and I wish I had know about it sooner! It was such a lovely day. Kay couldn’t have been nicer, she is brimming with floral knowledge and there’s so much to choose from. It’s so important to support our Irish growers! Some hessian wrapped bunches with a velvet ribbon for the gorgeous gang at .ie I always look forward to seeing their friendly faces on flower drop Friday each week!
Doesn’t it make such a difference when people are sound? Whenever I do my set up here on a Friday, which takes about an hour at each location (taking photos and chatting 😂🙈!) I can’t help but notice how they treat their customers and it warms my heart. They really send everyone off with their coffee and treats smiling. It’s funny how you can change a whole person’s day by showing them kindness❤️
And if you have t already done so check out their café at Paddy’s Hill. There is the most incredible view and a lovely walk that will bring you onto the beach. Highly recommend it!

Latest drop off! Flowers on a Friday combined with sunshine what more could you ask for. We might love baking in it but heat ain’t good for our flower friends❤️Remember to keep them out of direct sunlight, away from draughts and heaters. Change their water (especially with the humidity that’s there!) and snip those stems folks 😊

‘A peony for your thoughts?’ How’s your Monday going?
Unfortunately we’ll be saying goodbye to our beautiful peonies very soon! These billowy cloud like beauts have a short season but there’ll be other flowers to look forward to now that we’re heading for July! (How is it nearly July!!) It’s so true though how the most beautiful things last the shortest time. I think this is what makes flowers so special. They don’t last long, but for the time we do get to enjoy them, they truly do lift your mood. 🥰

Hope you’re all having a gorgeous Sunday and enjoying the sunshine out there! Tis a day for outdoor dining (at last! 😂) So good to see people out and about! Isn’t there a great buzz when the weather is good and it looks like it’s here to stay!! It totally lifts my spirits 😄
All of this week’s orders were either hugs in mugs, jugs or rugs! Which means 100% of all my orders this week were eco friendly. No wrapping, no packaging, a reusable or recyclable glass jar or vase and a velvet or cotton ribbon to reuse! I know every week won’t be like that but it’s a step in the right direction! Thanks so much for everyone who chose me to make their flowers this week 🥰❤️❤️🥰I hope the made you smile and brightened up your day,
