On Making a Difference from 5:30pm:

Fishers Becci Harrison talks to Medbh Boyle of Soulful Ceremonies Eire. An Interfaith Minister and Celebrant, Medbh talks about how she facilitates people in celebrating the most special moments in their lives exactly how they would like to and how special it is to be working in a field that embraces diversity and inclusivity and is fundamentally all about authenticity.

Medbh Boyle facilitates the creation of personalised, non-denominational ceremonies. She also offers held spaces for spiritual exploration, healing and growth. Through spiritual coaching she is trained to provide safe, compassionate, creative and dynamic spaces which inspire and support soulful living.

Happy couple & happy guests 💖
I am always glad to start people's special day with a ceremony that brings out the magic!
I love helping couples and their guest to relax and drop out of the normal day to day of life.
Make the most of a wedding day as time to spend celebrating love, having the laughs, and making memories together - magic indeed ✨️✨️

Ceremony readings are one of the things I spend a lot of time chatting with couples about 💖.
I'm always saying how important it is to hear them out loud and not just read. So here's a post to help that along!
This reading, Union by Robert Fulham was very popular last year.

I always suggest couples go for readings that:
✨️ you genuinely enjoy or hold meaning for you
🌷 reflect you as a couple
(If your romantic go for it, if not, there's lots of options!)
✨️ a balance of humour and sentiment
🌷sound good out loud
✨️ link with any themes of your wedding, maybe Irish writers
🌷 can be used to include people in your ceremony such as children.

✨️✨️take choosing them as a bit of time for fun and reflection:

Readings date night, anyone? 🥂

Do you know what you want to include in your wedding ceremony?

As a wedding celebrant & and solemniser, I always advise thinking about the vibes, the people, and the rituals.

As you can see in this sample video, you might include:
✨️Vibes: Warm, relaxed, elegant, personal, and fun

✨️People: A loving couple...plus children, family & friends

✨️Rituals: candles, rings, handfasting, vows, signing the register

Couples can choose all sorts of ways to show their love for each other. I consider a wedding ceremony to be the heart of a couples special day, and it sets the tone for the day ahead. I can offer all sorts of ideas and support to make sure it's truly special.

I still have some availability for 2024-2025, so please do get in touch if you have any Qs about wedding ceremonies.

"Our ceremony was our favourite part of the day"
Hurrah 💫
Often, when I first meet people, they are slightly dreading the ceremony part of the day... totally normal, and no offence taken by me!!

Here are the top 5 reasons I know for this.
Do you recognise any?
Are there others you would add?

* Don't know what to pick for a ceremony
* Not very comfortable being in the spotlight
* Don't like public speaking (in front of a crowd you know)
* Don't want to be openly soppy and romantic
* It could be long and boring

Thankfully, all of these can be overcome by a well crafted ceremony that you have personalised with a celebrant

* be honest with your celebrant if you are nervous
* we can take the heat and help keep you relaxed
* being loving and meaningful doesn't have to be soppy
* We have lots of ideas for cermonies and help you pick what you do like
* be open about what you don't want and don't like in the planning stages
(helps get you to what you do want 😉)

Make your ceremony one to enjoy!

Feel free to PM me with any Qs

Self- promotion is not one of my favorite pastimes,
but reflection is...
At this time of year I get to look over the messages and reviews from couples I've had the honour of marrying (to each other), and I am reminder that I do a great job of it!!

What makes me good at this??

🌟I love it!!

🌟 I am genuinely moved by the mundane and magical of peoples love stories🌹

🌟I treasure the intimacy that couples trust me with🌹

🌟 A lifetime of training flows- theatre, Interfaith ministry, Life coaching and community development

🌟 Great use of my core skills- communication, facilitation, organisation, being present, holding a moment

🌟 I love telling a good story

🌟 I welcome all the feelings and can hold a room full of- excitement, nerves, laughter, tears and tenderness

🌟 I am damn good at getting people to giggle and relax with a bit of cheeky humour (couples and guests)

Still celebrating Irelands marriage equality referendum 8 years later!!
CONGRATULATIONS in particular today to all of Irelands same-s*x and LGBTQ+ couples 💜🌈

May 22nd 2015- Ireland became the first country to legalise same s*x marriage by public vote.
I will always remember the joy and pride I felt in Dublin Castle as the final count came out!
A deep bow to all who campaigned, and to those who came before and were not able to marry legally and publicly 🔥

And what an honour it is now to create and hold personalised ceremonies for LGBTQ+ couples across the country, of all ages- remember to make it your own and YES it can be as wild or traditional, civil or spiritual as you want it to be!

FLOW of APPRECIATION💞
Thanks to you too!

I'm loving getting a chance to catch up on couples messages after a very busy summer of weddings (more to come through the year💫)

It's always so heartwarming to know that people have enjoyed the ceremonies I've held, that they have been moving and represented couples love on their special day, in a way that touches the hearts of those gathered.

I also feel so grateful for how much my own heart is filled with love and hope as I get to witness and hold couples stories.
So- thanks to you too!

This long loved poem by Dublin poet Pat Ingolsby came to me in the park this morning 💚

I find it such a beautiful reflection of the tender trembling that comes with transitions and new beginnings.
Excitement and fear combine as we unfurl.
What is to come?
What must we let go of?
Will we be able?
Will we get it right?

One of the many gifts I find in spiritual practice, in rituals and the offerings of many faith paths is the ability to meet the inevitable transitions of life with more courage, support and confidence.

What helps you to cope with changes and transitions in life?

Giving attention to my relationships with nature, learning from what I see and feel around me, certainly helps me!

The gift of Irish grown seasonal flowers💚
Was beyond delighted to recieve this most beautiful bunch of home grown flowers this week as a thank you for a ceremony I held.
As someone who adores having ceremonies and a home filled with flowers but struggles with the whole air miles and force grown process with cut flowers it's a joy to know about Elm Grove Farm- big hurrah to supporting local and home grown 💚🌺 @ Dublin, Ireland

' Stand up and be who you are. Don't be afraid' - Helen O Donoghue, this week on speaking out about abuse and inequality.

I am very honoured to have my voice included alongside these amazing and courageous women in Clodagh Finn article today.
"As a non- denominational minister, my shout is one of reverence to every woman and girl (indeed every person) that you, your life, your loves, your losses, your s*xuality, your body, your choices, your stories are sacred and are welcome in Ireland.”

What would you share, shout, scream about this Summer Solstice day? (would love to hear below)

Welcoming the Summer Solstice- an invitation to see what wants to become more visible and energised at this time ☀️

It is such a joy to be meeting people in person again this past week- welcoming re-connection, hearing of inner journeys and emerging plans for ceremonies and for life.

In Ireland June 20-21st has long been a time marked to celebrate the sun's energising influence in our lives, the long days of light, visibility, growth in nature and ourselves.

This year with Covid 19 we have perhaps been less outwardly active for the early months of the year, so perhaps we can draw our attention inward to see what has grown and wants to be more energised and activated in our lives now as we emerge and greet the Summer Solstice.

Along with soaking up whatever sun rays we are blessed with over the coming days...
You may light a fire or a candle this Summer Solstice eve 20th June and ponder, meditate or chat with loved ones on the following:
How has the Covid 19 lockdown been for you?
How has it impacted various your life activities?
Has it allowed for more of certain activities?

As we emerge now into the Summer Solstice...

What would you like to bring to light at this time?
What would I like to give more energy to?
Are there activities that you are happy to let go of?
What wants to become more visible in your life?
What can be done to support and nurture this growth in your life?

You may like to write, draw, dance, paint or simply ponder your insights. You are of course welcome to share any here too 💚
No doubt there will be many more insights to come from within us all as the days and months unfold.

Wishing much well being, warmth and light to all in these days.
