Table Plans 🍽️

1️⃣Ask your venue for a floor plan so you know exactly how many tables you have to work with and how many guests fit on each table.

2️⃣Start to make a rough table plan the week all your guest have RSVP’d but do not print your final copy until a few days prior encase of any last minute dropouts.

3️⃣The tables closest to the top table should be for your family and close friends.

4️⃣Keep the number of people involved in the actual table planning to a minimum otherwise everyone will have an opinion and this will make the whole process more challenging then it needs to be.

5️⃣Lastly, don’t forget to include yourselves, the two most important people in the room ❤️

If you are in the early stages of planning your wedding day, you might be wondering about the timeline for the day . This would be what a typical church wedding might look like (civil/humanist ceremonies tend to take place later in the day)

8.00am - Hair & Makeup Begin
10.00am - Breakfast
11.00am - Photographer/Videographer Arrive
1.00pm - Wedding Ceremony
2.00pm - Photographs
3.00pm - Drinks Reception
5.30pm - Call for Dinner
6.00pm - Dinner is Served
8.00pm - Cutting of the Wedding Cake
8.10pm - Speeches
8.30pm - Band Set Up
9.30pm - First Dance
2.30am - Dj Ends

This timeline might vary slightly if for example you have lots of bridesmaids for hair and makeup, an earlier start time might be needed. Or if your venues dinner service is much longer or shorter. Something you always need to make sure to confirm is how long your band need for set up, the norm is 1hr but always make sure to confirm.

If you're planning a summer wedding in Italy, here are some tips to consider:
💐Consider having the ceremony later in the day: The hottest part of the day is usually around midday, so consider having your ceremony in the late afternoon or early evening when it's a bit cooler.
💐Provide plenty of water: Make sure there's plenty of water available for your guests, especially if you're having an outdoor wedding. You could even consider providing fans or parasols to help keep everyone cool.
💐Opt for lighter fabrics: make sure to consider the heat when choosing your wedding dress and your bridesmaids' dresses. Lighter fabrics will help you stay cooler in the heat but also try to avoid fabrics that might show sweat marks.
💐Be prepared for rain: Although summer in Italy is usually dry, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan in case of rain. Make sure your venue has a covered area or indoor space where you can move your ceremony or reception if necessary.

Like the cost of everything at the moment, this year we have seen a considerable hike in the price of planning a wedding. With this in mind, we have put together a few simple ways you can save some money on your special day.

💸Ceremony booklets, if you decide to have them only get them printed for 50% of your guests.

💸Forget the wedding favours, they won't be missed and 99% of the time are left behind or thrown away.

💸Try to use candles in place of floral displays.

💸Ask your venue if it's possible to remove the sorbet from your wedding menu.

💸Skip the round of drinks during the speeches.

💸If you choose to have a wedding cake ask your supplier to decorate a dummy cake for all your pictures and to bake a tray bake that will be served to your guests (it will be much cheaper and your guests will never know!)

Are you hoping to get married in Italy 🇮🇹? Here are some top tips to get you on your way to your dream wedding.

💍It has become the norm to book your wedding venue 18 - 24 months before your big day, so plan ahead!

💍If you are hoping for an outdoor wedding July - September would be your safest bet for optimal sunshine and heat that will last late into the evening.

💍Regardless of the month you decide to get married in, make sure your venue has a wet weather option just in case.

💍It can be quite tricky to have a legally binding wedding ceremony in a catholic church in Italy. It's not impossible but it will very much depend on your priest.

💍Once you have confirmed your wedding venue you need to book your wedding band, photographer, and videographer next followed by hair, makeup, and your florist.

Where do I start looking for my wedding suppliers? If you are not using a wedding planner to help you source your wedding suppliers then I highly recommend speaking with your wedding venue and asking them for a list of regular suppliers that come to that venue. These will be suppliers that your venue has experience working with, that they will only recommend because they know how good they are. It is particularly important when booking your photographer that they have worked at your venue before, this will mean they know exactly where to get the best shots if it's raining, very sunny, overcast, etc.

If you are considering a wedding on the Amalfi Coast you must take a look at Hotel Corallo. It is situated on a cliff-top setting in Sant'Agnello on the Sorrento bay and it is beyond breathtaking. The food, wine, and service are all impeccable. Sadly they were only just setting up for a wedding when we were leaving but you can just imagine it in all its glory looking out across the water. It would make an absolutely stunning wedding venue.
