TIB Rules

11. Fighters can be saved by the bell. Except in the final round
12. No gloves or covering across the knuckles is allowed. A 1 inch distance from the edge of the wrap and the knuckles. Fighters hands will be wrapped on the day by an ITB appointed official. Cutmen/women shall be provided by ITB at all events. wraps and tape must be white only. No other colours of wraps allowed.
13. Gumshields to be used at all times.
14. The referee's decision is final.
15. The corner shall stop the fight at any time to protect their fighter by signalling to the referee or by the act of throwing the sponge into the ring.
16. All fighters and seconds etc. are expected to act in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Any fighter who who commits serious fouls such as bites, purposely eye gouges or any such cowardly acts shall lose by disqualification, have their purse withheld and be banned from fighting on any future TIB events for life.
17. We would encourage VADA or similar random drug testing of fighters and will work towards implementing such measures in the future.
18. No punches/kicks/knees or any blows below the waist, No rabbit punches, eye gouging, biting, kicking, knees, elbows, head butts, excessive holding, excessive running, turning your back to an opponent, spitting, slapping, holding the head while hitting or any other act deemed to be illegal by the referee. The act of fighting inside in the clinch is allowed and will be explained in detail to each fighter prior to each fight.
Proposed weight divisions (Under revision and subject to change)
There will be 8 weight divisions with 8 World Titles and 8 Irish Titles.
Note: Only Irish fighters can fight for the Irish titles.
Flyweight - 100 lbs
Bantamweight -118lbs
Featherweight - 128 lbs
Lightweight - 138 lbs
Welterweight - 150 lbs
Middleweight - 165
Light Heavyweight - 183
Heavyweight - Over 210 lbs
Fighters will weigh in on the day of the fight. Failure to make weight will result in sanctions.
