Julio has been a familiar face in the Irish psytrance scene for years. Whether as a DJ or a promoter, he’s always ready to champion the psychedelic trance music that he loves! His journey began in 2006 with a DJ course in his hometown in Brazil. For a few years, Julio varied his sets between electro and minimal, but everything changed after his first encounter with the psytrance culture at a festival in 2011. He instantly fell in love with the music, the people, and the whole vibe, diving headfirst into the world of faster BPMs. Based in Dublin since 2014, he began organizing the indoor party ‘Psychedelic Gaff’ a few years later. His sets are all about groove, adapting to the crowd and time of day, with flawless transitions that keep the dance floor in a trance. He’s always on the hunt for new tracks, exploring psytrance and its subgenres, making his sets an extension of his passion. He’s had the chance to play at some incredible festivals, including Universo Paralello (Brazil), S.U.N. Festival (Hungary), Solar Seeds Transylvania (Romania), Fuinneamh (Ireland), Audio Garden (Ireland), Euphonics (Ireland), and United Tribes (Northern Ireland). In 2023, Julio founded ‘Gaff Records,’ which launched its first release this year! With a love for music that knows no bounds and a knack for keeping the crowd moving, Julio’s journey promises to keep writing good stories.
