✨ A Merry Christmas everyone ✨🎄

As I reflect on the past year, I’m filled with gratitude for the incredible couples and families I’ve had the privilege of working with. Your stories have been a true inspiration, and it’s been an honor to be a part of your special moments.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Here’s to more beautiful celebrations in the New Year! 💍❤️

Thank you for your continued support and trust. I look forward to creating even more magical ceremonies with you in 2025!

With love and warmth,
Catherine 💖

My good friend .carpenter sent me this photo today from her wedding, nearly 5 years ago! At the time, I had trained as a celebrant but hadn’t fully committed yet—just doing a few ceremonies here and there. It was Cherie (my work wife 🤣) who encouraged me to go all in and make it my life. Looking back, I’d say this moment was the start of it all. Grateful for her support and for the journey that followed!

✨ Client Love! ✨

I am beyond thrilled to share this beautiful review from my couple whose special day was so memorable ! 💍

“We could not have asked for a better wedding celebrant in Catherine. She put us at ease straight away. We had no idea what we were looking for so she had loads of ideas of what we could do for our ceremony. After we chose what we wanted incorporated, she took care of it all and we just showed up on the day! The ceremony was so personal and relaxed—just what we were looking for. We’re so grateful Catherine was part of our wedding and would recommend her to anyone looking for a celebrant who brings both professionalism and heart to their big day!

Thanks again, couldn’t be happier with everything!” 💖

It’s an honor to help couples create ceremonies that truly reflect their love and personalities. If you’re looking for a celebrant who blends warmth and professionalism, I’d love to be part of your special day!

✨ Wedding Tradition Highlight: The Coins Ceremony ✨
In many wedding ceremonies around the world, the exchange of coins holds a unique and beautiful meaning. Known in some cultures in Spain, South America and the Philippines, it is known as Las Arras or the Unity Coins, this symbolic gesture is all about sharing, prosperity, and mutual trust 💰💞
In Ireland we would have exchanged a coin using the ‘old money’ which would be a half crown or shilling usually gifted from the parents of the Bride and Groom.
🌟 What’s special about this ritual? The coins remind us of the importance of generosity and sharing in married life. It’s a beautiful way to affirm that in marriage, each partner promises to provide and be there for one another through all of life’s ups and downs!💖

We had an amazing ceremony
It was such a lovely intimate ceremony with the couples family and friends fully invested in celebrating our wonderful couple…. Everyone was so happy to be there!😊 ❤️…. We had a sand ceremony, coin exchange and a whiskey toast, while also having few giggles at the couples story….. here’s to a lifetime of happiness 🥂

Once a Day” and “Take Them With You” by Donna Ashworth are two poems that remind us of the importance of cherishing memories and carrying the love of those we’ve lost with us each day.
As a funeral celebrant, I’m often privileged to witness the power of words in helping families heal.
These poems speak to the enduring love we hold for those who are no longer with us. I hope they bring some comfort to anyone navigating grief today. 🕊️_

🍷💌 Looking for a unique way to seal your love?
The Wine Box with Love Letters is the perfect touch for your wedding ceremony! 🥂

Here’s how it works: You and your partner each write heartfelt letters to one another before the wedding. During the ceremony, we lock them away in a special box with a bottle of wine. 📦💖 On a future anniversary (or if you ever hit a rough patch), you’ll open the box, read the letters, and share the wine—reminding you why you fell in love. 💕 Cheers to a lifetime of love! Who’s ready to toast their love story?

As I sit here planning Christmas wedding ceremonies for my wonderful couples, I just had a conversation with a bride concerned about the weather, lighting, and early sunset on her big day. It took me back to my own wedding and my memorable ‘veil incident’ when the wind had its own plans!

Here’s to Christmas weddings 🔔 and of course those Christmas engagements 💍

disclaimer…. Sorry I know it’s not even Halloween yet 🤣

I was recently contacted by a bride (referred from a friend) to explain the ‘green folder’… You see, she was getting married in a church but didn’t know she had to register her intent to marry (she thought the church organized it for her).
Now, she would be right if she had gotten married when my parents did, or even when I got married. Back then, we signed the ‘parish book’ and from there, a copy would be sent to the registry office.
So the moral of the story is… no matter who is marrying you—whether it’s a priest, a registrar, or a celebrant/solemnizer (like me)—we all sign the same paperwork, and all couples must visit their chosen office of deaths/births/marriages to register their intent to marry.

I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out with any questions 💍

🌬️ ✨ If you’re seeing this, here’s your reminder:
it’s the unplanned moments that bring the most fun, laughter, and connection to your ceremony! 💕⁣

This shot from our handfasting at Dunluce Castle says it all—ribbons blowing wildly in the wind, us laughing and my couple and their family making memories they’ll never forget.

Sometimes, the most beautiful moments are the ones you didn’t plan for.⁣

Embrace the unexpected!⁣

**✨ A Toast to the Past, Present, and Future 🥂**

With every sip of this golden mead, I’m reminded of the journeys we’ve walked, the moments we’re living, and the dreams waiting on the horizon. 🍯✨

To the **past**, for the lessons and memories.
To the **present**, for the laughter and love we’re creating.
To the **future**, for the adventures and possibilities ahead.

Raise your glass and let’s celebrate life in all its beautiful stages! 🌿🍃

Last week, I had the joy of visiting the iconic Anglers Rest, a family favorite of mine, to celebrate C&G’s unforgettable wedding day. 💍✨ Their ceremony was filled with personal touches, including a symbolic hand-washing with a beautiful oil from .earth.elixirs and a meaningful handfasting with the colors of Palestine. The moment they were pronounced married, the children rang the bells to celebrate! 🔔🎶
The day was made even more special with stunning music from Niamh and Jane and a beautiful rendition of U2’s ‘All I want is you’ led by C’s brother, with everyone singing along. Truly a ceremony to remember! 💕
