Something for your wall:

Photographed on my front door but this really is an indoor piece. 90cm in diameter, it will fill a large wall space and will last for years.

It’s made of four types of seed pods grown by me - honesty, cress, poppy and nigella - plus preserved beech.

Hibiscus Mahogany Splendor. Took 2 attempts to raise seedlings as these plants really don’t like cold. Hoping it’ll get through the winter in the polytunnel and be ready for picking a bit earlier next year

November is the time for planting tulip bulbs so give a gift to your future self, or to someone you care about, and enjoy a splash of joyous colour next spring. I always say the easiest approach is to plant the 20 bulbs closely together in one layer in a large pot, but they can also go in the ground of course.

Picked some dahlias in these lovely shades. This jug really needs a few curvy additions…dahlia stems are rather rigid on their own. But in the meantime I’m enjoying the oranginess

Feels good to be cutting dahlias, they are benefitting from the finest Kilfinnan Farm chicken manure and Carrigilihy seaweed, gathered last autumn and added to the beds
