Every wedding is special, but when your bride arrives to the ceremony on her horse...!!!!
The unique mix of burgundy with sunflowers was so gorgeous, and making the sunflower "rosette" for Charlotte's horse Sunny was a highlight!

Yesterday was a classic Irish weather mish-mash of deluges of rain, punctuated with glorious sunshine that shone through the masses of autumnal leaves lining the drive up to Kilshane House, and just happened to perfectly match the stunning autumnal palette that Eileen & Tomas chose for their gorgeous wedding yesterday.

On a truly yucky, rainy day like today, it is only right and proper to distract ourselves by feasting our eyes on this gorgeous sunny celebration back in March, when Mary & Gareth said their "I do's" in the garden overlooking the sea at . Mary's colour palette was a to-die-for mix of pale and strong pinks, deep red and burgundy, which is perfection any time of year! For Hannah & Mark...
A gorgeous Bansha church ceremony, followed by reception in wonderful . Fabulous garden roses (Tess, White Cloud, White O'Hara and stunning Priness Maya, I'm in love!!) were the stars of the show, supported by floaty ranunculus, scabiosa, spray roses, campanula and delphiniums. Urn arrangements are a fab option for a church entrance, and so easily repurposed around Kilshane afterwards. Massive love and gratitude to my mum Breda, dad Joe, and buddy Nuala for their help!

With the summer coming to an end, and the school year starting, it's been a busy couple of weeks, but the last couple of days have been promisingly sunny, so there is some hope for the weekend! Thankfully we have been blessed with some beautifully colourful weddings in the last week or so to cut through the gloom. Massive congrats to Martina and Michael who came home from Australia to tie the knot last weekend, and chose a gorgeous palette of purples, lilacs and berry tones. Hope you had a wonderful day!

Hey everyone, apologies for the radio silence, I'm still catching up on real life after a couple of lovely weeks in France with Mr. Mushroom and the sprouts! I'm slowly working through my correspondence, so your patience is very much appreciated.

Storm Ashley might be heading our way in the morning, but today was a perfect sunny autumn day for Sandra & Paul. I just adore Sandra's colour palette of soft pink, mauve and burgundy! Almost 2 weeks since 2 of my favourite humans decided they quite liked being in each others lives, so they decided to make it permanent 😍 Thank you Anna and Warren for asking me to flower up your big day, and I hope your lives are long, healthy and insanely happy.

For the last 3 days, I was lucky enough to spend time at the Chapel Designers Conference in Slane Castle, hosted by @hollychapple, and attended by some of the most wonderful florists in the business, from Brazil, Puerto Rico, USA, Canada, Switzerland, the UK and a wonderful Irish contingent, headed up by Lorna @aroominbloom and Jenny @flowersbymoira, as well as Sylvia @bellabotanica, and guest tutors @maxowensdesign and @bloomandburn 3 days of working with the most gorgeous flowers and foliage from @hoekflowers, @alexandrafarms, @wicklowfoliagefarm and @flowerfarmersireland, culminating in a wonderful gala dinner at the castle, surrounded by all our hard work. It was intense, inspirational, and emotional, and I have made some wonderful flowery friends that I hope to see again in the future. 2023 was a really special year for weddings, working with some gorgeous couples, wonderfully talented suppliers in some beautiful venues; I've tagged many of you, but there are far more than I can mention. Once again, like last year, I will be making a donation on your behalf to the wonderful @hometreecharity to plant 100 trees on your behalf in their temperate rainforest in West Clare, which works out at approx 3 trees per wedding.
