After so many years in the wedding industry we get to come across some incredible and talented people. Eric, owner of SAVO Photography just happens to be one of those people that we have worked many weddings with! This wedding in particular we both fell in love with the couple and their energy so decided why not collab and answer some fun questions!

Do you remember the first time working together?

E+A- At an intimate wedding at Ashford Castle about 12 years ago or so!

What was one of your first favorite memories working with one another?

E- Directly after the ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, Cassie & Greg and their wedding were led down Green Street by a marching band. Trombones, trumpets, drums..the works! At the end of the road, a group of classic cars waited to take the couple and wedding party off for a tour around Slea Head Drive with a few stops for photos. It was mad & chaotic, but loads of fun.

A- I feel like his style really captures the personalities and little moments of the day that a lot of people, and often couples miss!

Annie, as a vendor what tips would you give future brides on choosing a photographer that would best suit them?

A- Firstly know where your priority is with regards to photography. I typically ask couples what their preferred style is. It can be journalistic, fine art, moody, very natural and etc. Then I put forward photographers in the style they like who are generally within their budget range to give them the most suitable to choose from.

Eric, as a wedding photographer what are some good tips for couples to be aware of during their day? What should they expect from their wedding photographer?

E- The main tips I have would be to not fall into the trap of believing that weddings have to be hectic. Couples should hire a planner & vendors that have the skills, experience and personality to keep everything calm and flowing along nicely. A wedding photographer specifically should offer options for couples to best use the time they have in the way they want to use it. Each couple will be different and have different priorities!

Favorite thing about Ireland?

Hi! It’s me, Annie. I’ve been around for a while but prefer to work in the background so this is a little out of my comfort zone but I really wanted to formally introduce myself! I appreciate you being here and following us.

I’m from LA but lived in Ireland for over 25 years {Yikes!}. No, I don’t miss the weather.😉 Snuggling up in front of a fire at my home in Co Kerry, walking the dog on an empty beach in the mist or just hanging out in a cozy pub with friends are all heartwarming for me.

Wine is my thing-I love it! Also cheese and like all things with love, the two are just better together. At the moment, I’m working on a Wine Education Qualification. Nothing snobby, just fun!

One of my favorite things is dancing in the kitchen. It is a must and I believe it is vital to have fun and laugh every day and hope that comes through in my relationships with my friends, couples and wedding industry colleagues!

My husband and partner is Peter and many of you will have met him virtually. We love to travel and I’d love for our next big trip to be South Africa but anywhere a little off the beaten track will make us happy.

Finally, Aislinn, my business name is pronounced Ash-lin. It’s the Irish word for dream and I think it is a beautiful word. People often call me Aislinn by mistake, but that’s ok-that's part of me too.☘️

I'm so excited to continue flourishing in my business and build lifetime connections with all who I get to work with.
