Following numerous calls & conversations with friends, suppliers & customers we felt the need to write this post to hopefully put an end to the rumours which seem to be spreading about our business.

We are a small, family run hotel which specialises in hosting weddings & special occasions. We are fully committed to running our hotel as a hotel for our wedding, leisure & corporate guests. We have numerous weddings on our books which are our number one priority. We are committed to investing in, renovating & improving our hotel. This year we will continue our investment by upgrading our Bridal Suite. We have already completed works on all other bedrooms.

With all this in mind, we have no interest in giving our bedrooms to other business. Our rooms are solely for use by our corporate, leisure and wedding guests.

We hope that this reassures those who are thinking of making a booking and those who have already booked with us.

We are so grateful for all the support over the past 7 years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of our customers and to our wonderful team who have helped make The Glenside the hotel it is today. We are so proud of our hotel and look forward to many more fun years ahead.

I was honoured to be welcomed into the Parish Church in Anatrim today to lead a Memorial Service for a kind gentle lady Ann Jenkins RIP who passed recently. I love how her friends decorated the Church with little snippets of her life and hobbies. The history of the knitted golfing clown is interesting… in 1989 Ann knitted this for my daughter’s school draw - her late mother knitted the golf clubs. My daughter won it and today I was delighted to present this beautiful handcrafted piece to Ann’s great granddaughter so that this precious heirloom is back with her family. ❤️

An Irish Libyan fusion at a very special wedding at the stunning City Assembly House when B & A married in a bespoke Interfaith Wedding Ceremony for which i was honoured to be joined by Shaykh Dr Umar Al-Qadri The Ceremony included reflections, a reading from the Koran, Remembrance candle, a humorous snapshot of their journey together, a Sand Blending Ceremony with sands from ireland and Lybia, Civil Vows, Personal Vows, an Islamic marriage ceremony, all beautiful choreographed with amazing vocals and music from and expertly captured for posterity by photographer and the venue was perfectly co-ordinated by Georgia who was so helpful. Congratulations! Love today, tomorrow and forever xx

One of those amazing events when you meet a couple who are 25 years married in the lift and discover they had wanted to have a Celtic Handfasting when they were visiting Ireland from the US but their tour guide said it wouldn’t be possible at such short notice ….. and hey presto we have an intimate Celtic Handfasting with a Black ribbon for elegance, and wealth and a Gold ribbon for generosity and compassion. Synchronicity brought us together and P&J got their wish 🪄 Hopefully they will forward the photos!
