Christmas has officially started in the cottage…. Love my tradition of having a glass of champagne in bed before getting up to start cooking prep. By the time dinner is served the bottle will be empty and I will have a silly smile on my face. Merry Christmas my little darings 🎄🎅🏻⭐️

I am sure we can’t be the only ones who have a tradition of watching Home Alone every Christmas. I am always waiting for mum to shout ‘Kevin’ when she realises what she forgot. My festive visit to was very successful indeed. My Christmas champagne has to be but this time I went for the rose ( can’t wait for Christmas morning now). Mr T was gifted two bottles of homemade Irish Whisky Cream (aka Baileys) and it is utterly delicious. Sitting in front of fire and enjoying a tipple of it. Thank you to Dan Brown who rediscovered an old recipe by his dad.

The has long become our favourite spot for breakfast. Today’s offerings are Biscoff French Toast with apple compote while Mr T enjoyed black pudding croquettes. We are now nicely set up for the day. The team also serves awesome lunches 😉

Today was an amazing day - great meeting in the morning, then popped into and found this adorable wine stopper. Then popped into town for some shopping therapy and had a delicious lunch at . and his team never fail to make my tastebuds happy. Now sitting in front of the fire, sipping a lovely Malbec and adoring my new wine stopper.

The best things in life are simple - freshly baked vanilla butter biscuits (used vanilla pod) and a cup of Milky Oolong tea to enjoy with it. Is there anything better on a cold frosty evening? Had a wonderful Sunday yesterday. In the morning I watched Miss Holly creating a @cadburyireland chocolate house and being creative decorating it. Then I got busy preparing for friends and enjoyed one of the most relaxed afternoons in a long time. That’s what Christmas is all about #christmas #chocolate #friends #family #afternoontea

One of the German traditions is to have the Engelspiel out at Christmas. They are made either from wood or as here from thin brass. Got a bit peckish on the way home - almost missed @woodfieldcafe_and_gardencentre - so glad we made the u-turn. Lovely little cafe with a great selection of artisan produce, delicious food and tasty cakes… Mr T was very happy with his Bakewell tart and my falafel wrap was yummylicious #hiddengem #gardencafe
